Not how it happened... at all. Cats were domesticated in Ancient Egypt as they were considered to be holy creatures, and dogs were used as hunting implements by the Chinese. There was no "symbiotic" relationship. They were treated like tools in Ancient China, and killed when no longer useful, and simply worshiped in Ancient Egypt. Neither were "needed" to any significant degree.

Reverse racism doesn't refer to racism against any specific race. Racism against Hans in China could be considered reverse racism, for example, since they are the major ethnic group. It's simply a more specific term for racism against the majority. Of course it's still racism and of course it still "counts". That would be why it's called reverse RACISM.

Yes, there are still pockets of cities that are populated almost exclusively by blacks, but they are quickly becoming a rarity. "The Bluff" in Atlanta is one of these neighborhoods, but even it is not destined to last. "Acting white" is way for blacks to insult members of their own tribe for "giving in" to the dominant cultural power ("white").
