Hmm. At the moment, it looks neither too original, nor too fast-paced to attract much interest. In all honesty (and this is judging from your alpha), if you've been working on the programming since mid- December, such a project's engine should have long been completed, even if it was a side effort.

I'm not completely blowing you off, just wondering what impact you'd like this thing to have, since you are apparently reaching out for a hired gun of sorts.

At the moment, it's not much... although any project with the right spin can make a decent showing. If you'd like to discuss these points in private, feel free to email me, as my appearance here is rather sporadic.

But yeah, I think the main reason this contest didn't attract that many people is that by being forced to use a sound clip it really chokes the amount of creativity a person can put into it. I mean, the clips virtually dictate what you need to do.

Also, you'd be amazed at how many flash artists were not awared of the contest. Perhaps a thread in the flash forum next time eh? ;) That also has the added advantage that the thread can't die. It'll get bumped with each post.

Are you kidding? There's dozens upon dozens of clips to choose just a snippit from! It's not like you're being forced to use x amount of time from just one specific clip... also, how could people be unaware of the contest? It's been promoted in at least half a dozen front page posts over the past month or so. What else do you want?!

I think the most daunting element against this contest was that you couldn't really use the prize without paying for the services. While this could not be helped due to the product, c'est la vie. I personally did not want the receiver, but, seeing as how you really like their stuff, I started making one today, because promotions are fun, and they rip on Howard - a lot. :D
