Thank you, I will inquire about the first 2, the disk drive is over 8 years old and thing don't seem to last that long now days :/

My CDRW (Combo) disk drive, no longer seems to load certain disks and gives no error, I can't burn anything to disk but some things like industry standard audio cd's do load up, but no home made ones >:C Why is this happening?

If you want to use something that's free, you can use Reaper. Rig also happens to have written a tutorial on how to use Reaper here.

Reaper is by no means free. Audacity is quite good for simple sound editing etc... and is free.
