All of those with the exception of number 6 are illogical, as the human race has survived worse than the Bird Flu, more manical people than Bush and Osama Bin Laden.

We have evolved into thriving little things haven't we?

Of course, when the Sun expands, which it will, the entire Earth will be blown to oblivion, and unless we have space colonies in other Galaxies, you would be hard pressed to exist after your engulfed in a giant star.

I don't agree with the wiretapping without a warrent bit, and it's an unwanted little power struggle by the administration. However, your example is flawed because YOU are a citizen not charged with the duty of protecting citizens or gathering intelligence, while a government official may very well be. Though in all but some of the strangest events they should have a warrant.

The forum has been stuck on why Communism can and cannot work, and what it comes down to is people for it say it can work but countries just don't implement TRUE Communism. And those opposed say it only works on paper and the realistic form of communism would cripple the country in various aspects.

Beyond that, I cannot say much because I don't feel like researching indepth on Communism so untill I find time enough to take an unbias look at it all, I like being an ignorant bastard. =)

Both parties change views all the time. About 60 years ago, Democrats had almost the exact same platform as Republicans today. It's always changing.

So no party has ever always represented one issue in the same throughout history.

I would just like a president to be in the middle on everything. Not to the left or right of any issue, and to actually give both sides a chance instead of siding with your party on all your ideals.

I know not everyone can agree with everything one party stands for.

It seems like it is always one extreme or the other with the parties.

2) Similar to 1). Knowledge is power. By knowing about the group, you have more power than someone who doesn't. The big bad can't hurt you as badly if you can see it coming.

I like those two thoughts. The making sense out of something bad was what I was trying to explain, as well.

I think that plagerism case was nonsense. The Grail Bloodline thing is a common theory, and they didn't create the idea or theory, just wrote about it. Dan Brown wasn't even taking it in the same context as the where, he turned it into a dull mystery fiction where everybody they met had guns and wanted to shoot them.

The Conspiracy Theory- And You. Posted June 12th, 2006 in Politics

I think the reason people are so willing to believe in theories that chalk up national tragedy to secret organisations and powerful Satanic Devil Jews because of the following reasons:

A) The theory often blames a group of rich men or corporations that put their own money before human lives.

The truth is many big corporations are more than willing to rape you of free-will and spirit. But only to an extent of what the government and loopholes will let them.

B) Giving an explination for the unexplainable.

Wouldn't it be nice to think it wasn't just some crazy guy with a gun that ended one some of the most iconic presidents of are nation. (Though I doubt so many people would have enjoyed Kennedy if he wasn't shot so early in presidency)

What do you think compels conspiracy theory?

Of course Global Warming exists. Well, either Global Warming or Global Freezing. You can't pump crap into the atmosphere without one negative effect or the other. So while Global Warming may not exist, the problems that are suppose to cause it do.

Besides, Global Freezing sounds more fun anyway.

Response to: Zarqawi is dead. Posted June 8th, 2006 in Politics

I really doubt it. You have to remember that the thing that probably led to Zarqawi's demise was his high profile and disagreements within Al-Qaeda and Al-Qaeda in Iraq. What will happen now is that the insurgency in Iraq will fracture in local cells, much in the same affect that happened when bin Laden lost his base in Afghanistan, but the localized cells will be more secretive than the highly centralized Al-Qaeda in Iraq led by Zarqawi.

True. I guess what I ment to say the problem would be the fact that alls these spread out little radical groups with no leader to guide them, would be probably equally or more destructive then a secular group. As they can do equal damage with suicide bombings and planting bombs and such, without a massive army or leader.

Next Asians would get mad and try to attack us, but we blow their island off the face of the earth. Finally the Hispanic island would start swimming over to our island and eventually everyone their dies of stupid. The end.

Yeah, I don't watch Lou Dobbs' show, but I see Bill O'Reilly's ugly face when surfing around. There are entire sites dedicated to taking the statics he uses and shows how he spun it to his like. Why are people so up in arms. Is it really so suprising that maybe a few phychos are in the army, signed up for the killing, and did just that? Or some of them are just still somewhat teens who are fresh out of high school? So why are these always so surprising. Like being suprised somebody who grew up in a crack house became a prostitute.
