Vietnam was a loss due to the terrain, it was very difficult. A lot of things have changed in war since then.

Yeah but things were a lot easier to rule over back then. The good ole' days. *sigh* Get my cane, I'm going to tell you kids about the Industrial Revolution next.

Hey, I don't care the motivation. As long as SOMETHING good comes out of these past terms.

It's better than the usual election time politics. Ban flag burning, and raise cig. tax, anyone?

Oh, yeah. Of course it will work. I mean- cig. tax has had such a tremendous success here in the states.

*rolls eyes* Alls it does is make people spend more money and become more poor than they really should ever be. I bet all the skinny people want to charge taxes on fatty foods to feel good about themselves, like non-smokers and the cig. taxes.

Besides, you take away are fatty foods and we will learn how finacially wise cannablism could be and end up eating fellow citizens.

I'm not sure about the winning part, but I agree with the fact that sheer number of men hasn't being a heavy factor in war for a long time. Like we are seeing with the war in Iraq now, a few small factions can do some heavy damage if they are determined enough.

Response to: People Who Hate America Posted July 12th, 2006 in Politics

No, it isn't an issue of race, as American are not of a different race. Most of us at least.

And the reason many other countries have a negative view of us is because many of them only know America via it's politicians and policy. And that reflects on us as a whole, sadly.

Unless you live in North Korea, in which case you have been typically brainwashed to believe America is the devil.

I don't entirely agree, but, there are gamma ray blasts and the Sun expanding all, the latter is unstoppable. So yes, space settlements why not?

There are a lot of small little minor complications as well, which will be hard to bypass with in the next thousand years. Weakness due to lack of gravity, deformed children as to the same effect.

Settlements in 100 years? Not with the current mind-frame we are in.

Typically people won't commit suicide because some prick screams gory things into a microphone. Slipknot anyone?

But songs that kind of remind you of truly depressing things tend to make so me people want to well...blow a bullet through their skull.

You are not the first person to do it, so you won't find the satanical message you are looking for.

Well there was one old old song that caused a lot of people to do it, enough where it is banned in some countries. I wish I could remeber the name. It's on the tip of my tongue.

If you wish to live in the United States you must be in either:

Hurricane Prone areas,
Tornado Alley,
Earthquake areas,

There might be some places where you are save from virtually all natural disasters, but Montana is boring as shit.

Response to: Fox News : Roper Interview Posted June 12th, 2006 in Politics

The guy (Fred Phelps) has been doing it for years. I heard about it way back in 1999 I think, but it has been going on before that.

For some reason it's really picked up now because he changed his topic too Hating Fags to blaming soldiers as well.

Giving nutjobs like that a forum to speak their mind is the worst thing you can do, just ignore the bastards.

Response to: Homosexual view. Posted June 12th, 2006 in Politics

Well the only opposition for it is religious beliefs.

Not even that really, it's not really agianst peoples religious beliefs, more of people who fear it using God as a reason to hate.

I believe it's their bussiness, when there are two consenting adults who want to marry, why not? But it's not as simple as that I suppose.

First of all, that was more of a joke than something to be taken literally, and I am not saying I am COMPLETELY void of knowledge on the subject, I just don't go into indepth research on certain topics, this being one. But in comparison, I can garuntee at least half of the people posting on the forum don't do 'homework' of anykind.
