I have the same problem.
Someone told me some comps play flash files slower than html.
on my comp, my animation had a slight delay, making the audio unfit)
but that same person watched it and said it worked fine for him.
Try uploading it somewhere, or u can attach the file and I can try n see if it woks fine or not.

much thx!
more problems haha
when i click "Play" under the Control Options, & "Publish Preview -> HTML", the movie plays fine.
but if I click "test movie", & Export it, the animation is prolonged or delayed, making my sounds a little off.
Also, if i do "Publish Preview -> Flash", it's even more delayed.
Do you guys know a solution to this?
(I'm using Flash MX 2004)
If so, plz lemme know, thx!
Does any1 know where I can get a "Whoosh" SFX for free?
(like if a ninja quickly dashes by, or if sum1 throws sumthing rly fast)
also, coud you gimme a site if possible?
plz lemme know, thx!
More trouble haha
The sound for my first scene ends a little early (that or my scene gets exteneded)
When I click "Play" under the Control options (which only plays that single scene) it works fine.
Same thing for previewing in HTML (whole movie works fine)
However, when I export it and click "test movie", the problems occurs.
Any ideas?
If so, please lemme know, thanks!
(note: I'm using Flash MX 2004 lol)

when i click test movie and publish preview, the sound for my first scene is a little off (ends too early)
but when I click the "Play" button under the Control options, it works fine.

Place this on any keyframe and it will work. This is Actionscript 2.
Tried that too =(
here's a pic of what I'm getting
The top is of the code I put in
but when i test run the movie, it says no action applied (bottom pic)

Hmm, didn't work heh
am i supposed to put that in a keyframe or regular frame?
Hey!
How do you stop music once it reaches the end of the music layer frame?
Mine just keeps on going on until the actual song/sound effect ends.
(Also, did you guys read any books or go on any sites for flash when u were starting?)
Thx in advance!

=P sry, nooby here
Hey!
I'm having trouble with fading objects.
I've looked up tutorials, but all of them having "from white" fading in effects.
I'm trying to to actually make the whole object become invisible at first, then fade in.
(not go from completely white to colored, cuz my background isn't white)
can anyone help?
thx in advance!
ya ill try that!
had it on here since 2006, maybe i screwed up something haha
everything's good now guys
seems like I just needed to wait for firefox to update something (not clear cache)
thanks again!

Oh, and I jus checked my flash file, the mutiple frames button isn't on.
(please read previous post too haha)

Nope, I didn't make any symbols yet haha.
Is that a problem?
(sorry, I know everyone recommends using the, but I'm not really sure what their purpose is =P)

Hey!
My signature won't change haha
I've uploaded an Okami (PS2 game, also ported to Wii) sig and it shows in my Profile Edit page, but not on the actual forums.
I've tried clearing my cache.
Anyone know what might br wrong?

But whenever I erase the arms from the newer keyframes, it also disappears from the previous ones.

Hmm, little confused haha.
Sorry, I misread your original post. I thought you wanted like authentic anime-style animations.
I never heard of (or saw) an animated manga, care to share a link to one?
(if you mean like the chapters with sound and camera effects, I woulsnt consider that animation, but w.e lol)

Ya.
But whenever I erase the arms from the newer keyframes, it also disappears from the previous ones.
man... i can draw manga/anime easily (not that crappy american-OEL type, where all the men look like fackin girlz, or is overly-emo), but animating is a complete different story =P
but ill help with bumping this again, hopefully sum1 will offer their help
i do have a few friends that animate, but they do flash animation, and I'm not sure if that's what ur looking for since anime is done the traditional way.
their anime skills aren't bad, but just doesn't compare to mine ;)
Hey!
I'm trying to do traditional animation on Flash MX 2004 (i don't wanna buy the new ones, and don't feel like downloading torrents for the CS series =P).
Whenever I erase the arms of my character to put them in a new position (like waving his arms around), the arm disappears from the previous frames as well.
Is there a way to not make this happen?
If so, please lemme know, thanks!
At 9/26/10 03:20 AM, HatGuy wrote: are you pressing F6? on the frame you want the arm to change? thats what your supposed to do.
ya, I did all that haha, but thx!

I have't made new symbols =P
Thx a lot, I'll get to it!
Hey guys!
I'm making my first flash animation haha.
For my character, I'm using mainly the traditional method.
Im having a bit of trouble though.
Whenever I erase something from a future keyframe, the erased part also goes away in the previous frames.
Is there a way to avoid this?
Here's what I've done so far: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/54 9263

Specifically, I'm trying to make an arm animation traditionally.
But whenever I erase the sleeves color (since the arm moved to a different position), the earlier coloring also disappears.
meh, sacary movie 3 and 4 kinda sucked
My favorite food is cookie-dough vanilla custard (custard is soft ice-cream if u didn't know)
