Perhaps your graphics card is goofy then?

haha.

:If you've only got the wide cable plugged in, your graphics card might be shutting down. This can happen from it over heating by having a shot fan motor; Mine did this, but I have the blue cable plugged in at all times, so I just fell back to my normal integrated one when the GeForce 9500 GT pooped out.

Cables colors and connections can vary from different computers, he could have the 4 pin PCI-express or the 8, though it may be an issue with heat

The cpu is good, I give you that. The ram is KINGSTON VALUE RAM dude, no matter what the specs, it's still shit. He will buy it, and then three months later, it will start throwing memory errors. Read up on Kingston value ram before you suggest someone buys it. Like I said before, he may be able to play games, but not maxed out, and if he did, he would be running 20fps

Any game huh? how about GTA 4.... from 2008? Seriously dude, may be able to max out games, but your probably running 20fps....

Upgrade the graphics card later when you save up $200 and it will be a monster rig.

Somehow, I highly doubt it. I have been building computers since I was 16, and believe me dude, THIS will not be a monster rig, even with a bad-ass graphics card. Value ram dude, seriously?

I also program C++, Actionscript 2, Actionscript 3, Javascript, C# and just started learning assembly.
I also built my own PC.

Not saying you don't know anything, it was a question, why the fuck are YOU running OSX. I am a technician, I work on Servers/Computers/anything electronic, it's my job. I can program AS 2, 3, PHP, HTML (Including HTML5,) Basic and some C+, so yeah.

go to the start menu, type "msconfig" in the search, execute. Click the startup tab and un-check everything, this will prevent windows from opening up all that unnecessary shit when it starts. If you need to use something you disabled, just start the program after windows loads. Try that, it should help you out alot.

If your asking us what to buy, then I don't think building one is such a great idea. You'll be better off just buying a cheap pre-built desktop from Newegg that can be upgraded later. By the way, 600$ is NOT gonna build some monster PC that can play games maxed out either, If someone has told you otherwise, they were wrong...

Possibly because when the arms are lifted up, the shoulder muscles and pectorals also rise, or that the neck muscles aren't exagerrated enough.

Here's a pic I found whilst looking for an example, plus a gallery of Arnie pics that I've only just remembered.

I'd just like to add that some of these pics on this page are great, and are a huge improvement. I'm loving the hatching on the alien head.

O: *has a heart-attack and slowly pulls himself up to the computer

DUDE, seriously I appreciate you giving me feedback. I totally see what you are saying about the muscles in the neck, I'm gonna fix that now. I really do need to start referencing my poses and muscles, I usually only reference how things look in my head.

The first one is my favorite, I really like the color palette you chose to use, it really compliments the rough style you used for the lines. The character almost looks out of place, or like he was hallucinating.
Keep it up man and good job

I like what you did with the axe and the eyes, especially the axe, but that may be a bit too realistic than what I was going for. I will work on it some more and play around with it until I get something that I'm satisfied with, again, thanks everyone for the feedback, it really helps....

hmm.. I figured If the whole thing is one solid color, it would look dull. I will paint it one solid color and post it so you see what I mean..not sure if one solid color for the whole thing would look good...

Response to: Sirhenry Studios Art Thread Posted October 11th, 2011 in Art

thank you both for the feedback, I think I will go with j-qb's advice and leave it one solid color, maybe a brighter red...
