I was just looking at my old posts then and I you can see that I didn't really understand how things worked at all. I made a thread asking for help with flash 8 then made the same thread again the next day.
You know, I was sorta like you when I started, I never bothered to read the rules and just went on blind. I now know better...
My goodness, this is quite a game! I like how there's this whole Asteroids-ish feel to it, how your ship wraps around from one side of the screen to another.
The only problem is that the controls are much to loose, when I release an arrow key, the ship continues to float on for a long distance before it stops.
Retro Adventure have been my thing, but most of the games in that genre are sub-par at best. If you can make one that is truly EPIC, I will give you a pat on the back!
The scabbard of the katana shouldn't be that heavily designed. It should be a grayish-black with a small design at the mouth...
The rest is okay, though...

Do you even need to ask? O_O
Just do yourself a serious favor and check out "Paperbat's Advanced Sprite Tutorial".
It will get you through the basics and the good stuff.

Sorry, mate. Can't help you there. I don't use Macs. Also, I'm an avid Mac hater....
