Hello Toogorax. I'm also in the beginning of writing a story that might turn out to be kind of similar. My question to you is if you had any planned ethnicities for your characters? "Vanheist" sounds like a good last name for thieves. And if the entirety of the brothers' operation consists of themselves, you may consider have them come into conflict with a larger criminal organization.

Thanks J-Rex, I'm glad you approve. I researched both of those games and I have to say, you pretty much hit the nail on the head! Though I can't promise the plot going as deep as the plots go in either game, I will still try to make it very compelling. But hey, who's to say the story won't take on a life of its own? I'm only in the beginning and still trying to figure out how the city will work. Deeper plot possibilities may reveal themselves to me as I delve in further.

I've started writing a tale revolving around a fictional person's time in the Newgrounds Police Department. Though the story isn't real, some names used will refer to actual NG members (never in a hateful fassion though). In this work I have imagined Newgrounds as a cybermetropolis (a city in the cyber space world) and three groups that I plan to feature are the NGPD, the Elite Guard, and the NG Mafia. I suppose one might think of this story as a science-fictiony version of one of those cool old cops and mob movies. What do the rest of you think? Would it make for an interesting read?

Thank you for responding. From what I've learned, it's really just a cyber-social group of mafia enthusiasts. Unlike the NGPD though, I don't think the NG Mafia would face penalties for coordinated mass voting in the Flash Portal. I like how this parallels real life where police forces must be law abiding, but organized crime (not that I'm incriminating the NG Mafia) can act outside this influence.

Hello all. This is my very first forum post (even though I've been a member since '06 haha)

Anyway, I have a question. I was reading about the Newgrounds Police Department (http://newgrounds.wikia.com/wiki/Newgrounds_Police_Departme nt) because I may have some interest in applying when I came across the term "NG Mafia" under the Early History section. I'm just curious, is this an actual group that exists on the site?

If there's any formating issues with this post, I'll try to change it and/or learn proper formatting for the future.
