err, Okay, was kindof surprised to see a thread about me. Have any of you actually played this game? It's excellently done. A very good game. Nudity is pretty rare in it so don't talk about things you don't understand. It's also something like the third most visited entry in NG.

Oh also, grow up.

Yeah...I like supernova but the sync is crap which annoys me to no end. ITG2 is awesome. The extra features make it even more awesome. Those who say it's worse because of the extra features sound really ignorant. You wouldn't say, "Oh can you put less features in my car? Take out the air conditioning and the stereo please." I don't think so. ITG2 is also synced very well and they upgrade it to sync better whenever they feel that a song isn't perfectly in sync.

Another school of whatever I don't know the name in english. If it has a name. This school is chosen, you can decide not to attend any of these schools at all (Videregående skole).
1st grade (16-17)
2nd ----- (17-18)
3rd ----- (18-19)

I'd say the equivalent would be Junior high, but the grades for that vary from school system to school system. It is often grade 6-8 but I've seen grade 7-9 and a few other types.

For the optional school...could it be the equivalent of a vocational school? Vocational schools are where someone goes to learn a specific trade but it's often in place of going to college. Or maybe we could just call it highschool cuz I think that's what it most closely resembles from the age category.

Hmm, yeah...sprites are okay I guess. I think the point is to make good movies, not necessarily to just put more hours and more work into your movies then the next person. I really enjoyed rise of the MK but now it has all that advertising all over it and it was really short. How does that deserve the top spot?? As opposed to someone like the Legendary Frog who drew everything himself and did everything himself. You just have to give him way more credit for drawing his stuff than just ripping sprites off of somewhere. It's the same with clocks. Doesn't anyone get bored just seeing every clock drawn the same way, the same style every single time? What ever happened to originality? Shouldn't that be part of what NG is about? Not only do clocks rip the images off of each other but they also use the same jokes over and over again which they didn't create (Can I drive?; B B B B B). Now I'm just rambling... I guess it's kindof cute in its own way.

Congrats on EG First Class!

I'm tempted to just try and boost my 50 protector rank, but a lot of this really shouldn't have made it through judgement. ~sigh~

In case you hadn't guessed, during clock day a lot of clocks throw 5s at anything with clocks in it. The idea is to be celebrating clocks with lots of flashes and I guess they want to reward those people who wanted to celebrate it. I was kindof leniant with some clock flashes too but when a truly crappy entry came out, I blammed it. Personally, I hadn't had that much fun on NG since I first joined so I love clock day :-). Communal fla files eh? I hadn't known that...but I should've guessed considering all the clocks look like one of two or three different images. That's really lame, as if it was so hard to make an orange or banana in flash.

The same-sex comment, looking back, I have absolutely no idea why that was ever put in there.

The Nazi Germany thing isn't logical and it doesn't follow. You didn't show this at all or even begin to show this in the least bit. It's your writing though so you can do whatever you want.

Response to: Prototype Abortion Rant Posted July 25th, 2003 in Politics

Hmm, I thought this was really well written. Then I realized that it was probably just a school assignment (from the word first draft) for some summer course or summer reading thing you're doing. Well, maybe I'm wrong. I'll assume I am for the rest of my comments.

I don't see many posts as well written and thought out essays like this appear. I agree that religion should have nothing to do with it because church and state are supposed to be seperate. One thing though, It almost seems like you don't have any thoughts of your own and are relying on what other people have decided(the supreme court in most cases). I kindof have to disagree with Ted that the dog comment was good. I personally, don't know anyone dumb enough to make that remark and think no one who posts on this board is dim enough to think that way. Dogs and humans are clearly seperate and have always been granted different freedoms and humans have choices but humans make the choices for their pets because the pets cannot speak for themselves or understand what is happening. This should be obvious to a rational person. Would we put humans on leashes next when they go outside so that humans and dogs are equal? So...I don't approve of using remarks from someone who didn't make any point that anyone else would think of making.

You had stayed on topic up to there then you started getting off topic. Same-sex marriage has nothing to do with this. Then you made comments about Nazi Germany. To me it sounds like you're saying "because Nazi Germany has bad conotations, anything they've done or thought of is obviously bad." I don't know how many other people thought that way but that is what you ARE saying. Think about it and you'll understand what I mean. For instance: "Hitler liked ice cream, therefore icecream is bad". You would tell me automatically that this is wrong. It's less obvious that you're doing this here because most people don't view taking away woman's rights as happily as ice cream. Stick with your point and not with prejudice. To me, it would've sounded better if you just said we're taking civil liberties away instead of comparing it to how Nazi Germany took away the freedoms of woman which has no real relevance.

I don't know why 90+% of Americans think this way. In Britain guns are illegal. Infact, theyre VERY illegal now because there were a few high-profile killings a couple of months ago.

It Britain there are virtually NO law-abiding civilians with a gun. ONLY criminals have a gun. We don't actually have many people die per year from gun crime.

UK - In 1999 there were 0.12 Killings per 100,000 people.
USA - In 1999 there were 4.08 Killings per 100,000 population.

The above figures are obviously, for gun offences. No knives or anything. Guns only.

So I guess making guns Illegal helps a bit, seeing as that is 34 times more gun deaths in America than Britain.

I personally think the US has a crime and violence problem that isn't caused by guns. I bet the USA has a higher percentage of killings in general. Anyway, now that guns are so prolific in the US, you can't just outlaw them and expect they'll disappear. It might be best in the long run but in short term, I believe it would be very bad.

Won't happen, give me a realistic scenario, not never never land.

Neither side of a conflict (it is impossible to stop conflicts) should not have any weapons of destruction at all. So they would be forced to come to an agreement before millions of ppl died. Because history shows that all countries have come to an agreement sooner or later.

History hasn't shown this at all. History has shown that whole empires can be wiped out and the land taken over by whomever wiped them out. Countries can be split apart or taken over and hostilities can continue even though actual killing and fighting has stopped.

Exept the middle east. The same conflicts have been raging for 3000 years. The ppl there must either be very stubborn or just dumb.

Differing religious views is the cause of this in my opinion. Once two groups get different religious views in their heads it's worse and longer lasting than any differing political views.

It is like a child in a sandbox. If he don't have sand in it, he won't trow it in ppl's eyes.

Don't insult our intelligence. You're just saying if we don't have them, we can't use them. That is way too obvious to state. You might as well say: "Water is wet" because ya know, we needed that told to us.

I don't see how the US is helping here.

That's great, why do we need you to see?

Since the threat of aliens attacing us is rather unlikely to happen, I wouldn't say we need weapons for that either.

As a deterrent because your little never never land isn't any more likely to occur than aliens(at least not soon).

The whole "weapons of mass destruction" is like the "3 feet sickness" with boats. You just have to have a little more than your niehgbour (someone please tell me how to spell that right).
It is the same with weapons.

No, that's how it used to work. You're taking what you learned in history and thinking it's the same today. The US has more than enough nukes to destroy the world over several times and there's no reason why we would need more just so we could destroy the world over several more times. The only reason we'd want more is if it serves a function that it had not before. Like low yield nukes that can be used to destroy bunkers without killing everyone for several miles. It's neighbor.

Thanks, I appreciate your views Lord Aba. I don't know sql or php but I was planning to learn at least sql when I had some extra time on my hands. I'm glad to hear that it won't take up too much of my time to learn. It seems like you have lots of favorites. I was really turned off by VB mainly because I didn't like that it was half visual and half programming. It didn't seem like it was very realistic for creating anything except apps.

Java is really a rip-off of C++. The two languages are almost exactly the same. If you know C++ you should be able to learn java well in a few hours at most. My problem with Java is that it has an extra compile step (which is why it doesn't have compatibility issues like C++ and other programming languages do) which makes it significantly slower than C++ and almost any other language, for that matter.

Wasn't cobol the first mainstream higher level language ever? That might be why you don't like it.

Metal detectors everywhere? Umm, will never happen. Besides, people carry around metal objects that aren't guns all the time. If guns become illegal then the entire country's supply of guns will be in the hands of criminals. Because guns are illegal and no longer created, the police have no guns to fight back against the criminals. Just because you outlaw something doesn't mean that they all suddenly disappear. Many, many criminals are illegaly carrying guns so making guns illegal for everyone wouldn't change anything except to take them out of the hands of law-abiding citizens.
