I heard rumors of this throughout the internet and hoped that they wouldn't do it. I Love the show, don't get me wrong. One of my favorite shows. But if they completely screw the series by making a ninth season, I'm going to be extremely disappointed.
IMO, with Zach Braff gone, there is no show.

The educational system in America is a lot more demanding and stressful that in other countries.
I read a short essay in my college sociology class years ago about this very issue (I'm completely spacing on the name of it though). It compared American schools to Chinese school. It showed that American schools teach students to work solo (The "sit down, shut up" mentality), while the Chinese schools taught in groups.
What do you expect from kids when you isolate them and put a lot of stress on them?
