The world is researching a new energy source but all we can come up so far is ethanol. If somebody actually had a more convenient fuel source then we would know it.

The amount of money to keep prisoners alive in prison is not that much. The amount of energy and time people spend on supporting the death penalty takes much more money than just locking someone up in prison for life.

Have you ever noticed that the immigrants that came to America originally aren't around anymore? That was 350 years ago. Countries back then were in a different state then they are today.
These people mearly want to live better lives and have the chance to suceed. I think that they want to be Americans as much as you do and every other American.
I do not have a problem with immigrants but there is a process to become an American. It is not as easy as walking over.

Yes, Innocent people would die if we nuked Iraq. The truth is that innocents die in any war no matter what. People were dying in Iraq before America declared war on them seeing as Saddam put people in meat grinders and put people to death in other ruthless ways. Nuking Iraq would have solved our problem of killing Saddam and would have taken care of the terrorist groups in there. If we had done that many problems would end but even more problems would start. Most of the world would retalliate and America would probably be nuked by another country. That would screw us over.
