Some shows, especially ones from your childhood, need to be re-aired. What would you like to see come back on TV? I miss Voltron and Captain Planet, personally.

Retro games are casual. Most of them dont even take more than 10 hours to beat were fun and, you can pick them up and put them down, they dont have a steep learning curve,

The Contra series would like to have a word with you. X3

All joking aside, that is ONE of the reasons that nintendo was so successfull early on; they made great, if simplistic time wasting games which were much better than anything on the market at the time. Gamers went to them because frankl, they didn't have much of a choice.

For a few minutes of fun it's great, if you want to hang out with some friends and play tennis or something it's amazing.

Basically, Nintendo wanted to make something with a huge market, they succeeded.

Yes. Excellent logic.
To me, the main problem with the Wii is that not only has it been too marketed toward kids an older people, but it simply doesn't have the power of other consoles. The Wii version of Dead Rising was a great example of this. ( I still own it, but only for lulz.) Compared to the original, the graphics were poorer, the areas were smaller, and there were FAR less zombies. Sure, the gimmicks with the Wiimote were kind of cool, like swinging the controller to brain a zombeh with a baseball bat, but it wasn't the same. Now, the Wii does have good titles, but like a lot of you guys said, they are all first-party titles like SSB, and Mario Galaxy/Baseball/Strikers/Kart/Shopping/W hatever. Virtual Console titles are mice and nostalgic, but still not worth the price. If nintendo wants to get their claws into gamers, they need to focus on making a more powerful system, and they need to invest in more mature games. This also holds true with the DS or DSi or whatever crappy handheld they have these days...But that's another thread alltogether.
