As a Canadian, yes. We do have some problems with our health care system, like occasional long waiting times, but just because it is a free, shared system for all, that doesn't make us socialist, nor is anyone who happens to like/reference/mention in a casual manner.
Where does this mindset come from?

Here's mine: When I was a kid, my parents told me that if I swallowed gum, I would blow bubbles when I farted. Naturally, I thought this was hilarious, and ate a whole pack of gum. Needless to say, it didn't work, and I got constipated. When I finally shat half of my digestive tract out, I was disappointed by the lack of bubbles.
