This is what I don't understand about you Atheists... if you are so sure that God does not exist, why are you always starting debates about it and/or trying to convince other people that God does not exist? If God did not exist, are you helping the world by convincing other people that there is no God? The answer is no.
If you were 100% sure that there is no God, you would not need to try to convince other people because you would be thinking something along the lines of: [i]I know what is true and I do not need to get support from other people because I know what I believe is true.[/i]
Atheists who start debates are either:
1. Looking for an answer and are not happy with their beliefs.
2. Are trying to find support to back up their beliefs which they are not fully sure of.
3. Feel they are helping the world by expressing what they believe to be the truth.
Now, what good are you doing by convincing people there is no God? In fact, many religions forbid acts which degrade society and therefore, many religious people who follow their religion well will bring good to this world instead of evil. If you convinced religious people that their is no God, they would most probably become more evil than good because there would be less motivation to be good. Many religions such as Traditional Catholicism promote everything which is good for society and puts down everything that is bad for society. Whether or not the individual follows the laws of their religion well decides if they are a good member of society or not.
What is a good reason for promoting Atheism and convincing people there is no God? Listed are the differences between an Atheist and a good Traditional Catholic:
A good Catholic who follows his religion as he should:
1. Strives for perfection by practicing virtues and trying to conquer his faults.
2. Is charitable to anyone in many ways.
3. Does not bring downfall on society by scandal.
4. Does not hate his enemies but prays for them.
The list goes on. All of these good works are inspired by the ultimate motivation which is knowing that what good and bad they do in this life will affect their eternity in the next life.
Atheists:
1. Have no motivation to follow God's laws or natural law because they believe they will not be punished or rewarded after they die.
2. Do not have ultimate motivation to strive for perfection by practicing virtues and trying to conquer faults.
3. Do not have ultimate motivation to be charitable.
4. Do bring downfall on society by scandal by either their evil works against God's law or by convincing ignorant people that could become religious and be a good member of society.
5. Have no motivation to not seek vengeance on their enemies except fear from the government law if they seek a vendetta.
The list goes on.
Atheists, when you convince other people that there is no God, you are bringing down society rather than raising it. Being a good religious person in many religions makes the individual a good member of society. If you Atheists believe there is no God and no after life, why are you making life worse for everyone on this planet and yourself by corrupting everyone else?
Whether or not God exists, when you convince someone that there is no God, you give that individual a lesser chance of becoming a good member of society but increase the chance of the individual becoming a member who corrupts society.
We have established that convincing the world that there is no God would be the downfall of society so therefore, there are only two other reason why Atheists would try to start debates:
1. They are looking for an answer and are not happy with their current beliefs.
2. They are trying to find support to back up their beliefs which they are not fully sure of.
Many Atheists will say to me statements such as, [i]"Of course I believe there is no God. That's why I start debates and conversations!"[/i]
Well, I hate to break this to you, but people who start debates are either searching for an answer or are trying to convince people. And because we have already established the fact that convincing people that there is no God will bring the downfall of society, you are corrupting society and making life worse for yourself and everyone around you every time you start one of your debates.
Atheists who are starting debates and are trying to convince the world there is no God are either bringing the downfall of society, are searching for an answer or are looking for support to back up their beliefs which they are not certain of.
I have to hand it to you Atheists though, you all have a lot of faith. You all have a lot more faith than I, a Traditional Roman Catholic. It takes a lot of faith to live your life believing there is no God and that when you die there will be no eternal after-life for you...
