Apparently I submitted on the 10th of August... Have I been banned or am I coming up on the waiting list? I'm not after a quick approval, I'm happy to wait my turn but I would like to know if I've been banned and you need some more information from me.

Thanks!

The quickest way to check whether you've been banned is to simply upload another song, if it works you haven't been banned (yet).
Then you can always delete the second track if you don't want it up (yet), that's once you've finally been approved.

Hope i helped ya out a little with this information, good luck mate!

Not that I'm impatient or something, but it would be nice if I'd be approved soon.
It would be easy to judge me, since I have (already) uploaded 3 original songs(sort-of previews) for approval.

Thanks a bunch :>

They go through everyone in order, doesn't matter whether you've submitted a million songs, youll just have to be patient.
Think it took me a little over a month when i first got approved.

Squidfont Orchestral
Papaelmedia Strings
Florestan Woodwinds
Flobakks Choirs
Roland Orchestral Rhythms
TGSF21X - You can find this at the same website that Squidfont is shared.

Also, Papelmedia and the Florestan soundfonts have a huge range. There are a ton of other soundfonts like Papelmedia Trombones and Florestan French Horns that are worth looking into. I just put what I've used the most above. Definitely check into Florestan and Papelmedia's other stuff if what I've posted above does not cover all your needs.

Good luck.

Thanks man! You gave me a lot to look through :)

But when it comes to VST's that are not free, preferable not uber expensive, which would you recommend?

Orchestral Plugins Fl Studios Posted May 25th, 2010 in Audio

I was trying to make a remix of Chrono Cross's - Dream of the Shore Near Another World (awesome OST ;D~~) And I realized I don't have any good orchestral plugins (Violins and stuff).

Since newgrounds audio forum is so great I thought I'd get some quick responses on where are some good orchestral plugins (preferably free) for fl studios?

I'm fairly sure that I submitted my audio content under the wrong genre, but I cannot yet fix this because I am still awaiting approval. In all honesty, I was so glad I managed to upload (8th try the charm to convert to a "valid mp3 file") that I more or less skipped over that portion, or clicked in a random place in that drop-down to see if my eyes weren't deceiving me and that my audio had been uploaded. Could a mod, out of sheer annoyance at my genre-cotomy deficiency ban me, or would this just be a minor stumbling block in the submission process?

As far as I know there is no difference if you send in fifty songs for submission so having the wrong genre son't affect anything, I believe only the first is assessed (might be wrong). But don't worry about the genre, it is easily changed once the song get's approved, but as of now (preapproved) there is nothing you can do about it, but don't break a sweat about it :D

Look forward to getting to upload all my illegally downloaded gratuitously sampled Lady Gaga remixes.

Or I'll just upload some real music.

you get a confirmation email sent to you once you upload, which is a way to check if you did it right.
as for submitting lady gaga remixes it would be against the ToS if too much was taken without any actual originality, and I guessing that was a joke :D

I don't know if there is a "quick" way but the only way I know is if you select each pattern individually (the small box should be lit on "pattern" and not "song" so to say) and click file>export and select .wav, you'd have to do it for all patterns manually though.

If it's been a week then there shouldn't be a prob, I waited two weeks for mine to be submitted. But at this point in time aparantly the audio mods have a lot of things going around irl, you might even have to wait maybe a month, could happen. :/

Yea the system is pretty flawed. As far as I know at this point there is no way to be "unbanned" but to check if you were, try to submit something else, since that's when it says whether you were banned or not.

If like you said there was no reason for you to be banned and the song was entirely your creation then you should create a new account and resubmit.

Response to: First Uploads to the Audio Portal? Posted February 13th, 2010 in Audio

I would say you were banned.

I always apprecieated all kinds of music, as long as everything had a flow to it.
What got me into music making was when I first listened to this song inspired me to atleast try and make something similar. So I acquired myself FL Studios and went from there, other than that I get inspiration from everywhere.

A suggestion for the first post (assuming the topic post can be edited): You should have a FAQ in teh first post since I see a lot of people frequently asking the same questions over and over, including myself when i first posted here. By having a FAQ it would make it a lot easier, especially for the mods spending so much time just answering questions already answered.

Yet again I'm curious of something; it says that we ought to PM a mod after two weeks asking "what's going on" if not approved within that time. Just want some clarifications on that. Does it mean that the mod will look through your music skiping the line, or does it litterally mean that the mod's just gonna answer "what's going on" like "the list is long, takes time.. etc"?
