Best 3D Animation Software? Posted August 7th, 2012 in Animation

What is the best 3D animation software?
What is the best 3D animation software for FREE?

I installed Blender. I'm completely new to animating 3D stuffs although I have been doing Flash for couple of years.

So Blender vs Autodesk Maya, which would win?
I haven't tried neither of them yet and Maya is expensive as hell!

Thanks.

As2 Help! Posted April 16th, 2011 in Game Development

Download .FLA
.SWF Here

So, I'm a noob at using AS.

Anyways, here is my problem.
Now if you see in the .swf, I have big rectangle and a smaller rectangle inside it.
So I made a bigger rectangle a movie clip and smaller rectangle a movie clip and put it(smaller rectangle) inside the bigger rectangle's movie clip.
Instance name for the big rectangle: cc
Instance name for the small rectangle: sc

Now, I made a button called "click" and gave this action script:

on (release) {
	_root.cc.nextFrame();
	_root.sc.nextFrame();
}

Now the color of the bigger rectangle changes but it doesn't change on the smaller one. Why? Can I have the action script for it to work? and how can I make it work?

Thanks!

OH YEA, there is one thing WHICH MOTIVATES THE MOST. thats right, think of making money.

What my point was that you can make money with ur Flash toon, lol..

Response to: Motivation Posted April 18th, 2010 in Animation

Man, I always get unmotivated because I start to draw stuffs then I give up. It is probably because I won't get the basic idea for the toon whether it is a short story or not in the first place. I think it is better getting that first though. OH YEA, there is one thing WHICH MOTIVATES THE MOST. thats right, think of making money. Well, I should get started first with my toon though,lol. This is a really good thread, it should be pinned :)

Techniques to create a Flash toon? Posted April 18th, 2010 in Animation

I wanted to create a Flash toon. I'm not a beginner Flash animator, well, kinda the intermediate level. Take a look at my intro - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpVpWspIM OI
And yes, I use Adobe Flash CS3.

So about the techniques:
Where and how do I start?
Do I record the audios that is needed for my flash toon first?
Do I write the scripts first too?
What is the frame rate for a Toon supposed to be? I use 30, but is that okay?

Too much questions. Sorry about that but please answer.
