You can't call yourself a guitar player, because you don't know everything about the origins of the instrument....

Books do the opposite of make people less intelligent. A year ago it wasn't uncommon for me to read a 300 page book in a day or two, making high school subjects that are based on language/sociology very menial for me. That being said, if you want to learn about a fictional story, such as Harry Potter, I do prefer movies to books. In terms of learning, you won't learn anything beyond the very basics if all your learning is based on what you watch, some reading is required. Reading is good, and not all avid readers are dilettantes.

You are. Not sure by who or why, but I would assume it's for ban evasion since you were openly bragging about having been permabanned.

That is a misunderstanding, I was permabanned from another website. The perma was even for a valid reason, I confronted a moderator who banned a member for calling them out about having favoritism among posters. I have visited NG for years, and only just joined. I'm not sure if you can do any IP address checking to make it clear that I have never been under a pseudonym on this forum? Thanks.

I'm currently unaware of what I could have done to be banned, and was just curious if this had something to do with not filling out profile information? Thanks.
