Robot Day entry #1 from the collab

Response to: Super Smash Grounds Melee Posted October 3rd, 2007 in General

No dude, you've got it all wrong. I'm completely aware of how much work goes into a game like that. It takes a heck of a lot, PLUS you're updating, so that's even MORE work...I'm pretty sure you've got a lot of college work to do, and it's a collab. I'm just learning C++, so I don't have a clue as far as programming. It was just something I was thinking about =^_^=...but yeah, you all have got a kick ass game, and I'm sure it's the best of NG, on NG.

Honestly, I don't know if I'm aware of not, but I have an idea of how much goes into something like that, and for the amount of peeps you worked with to do this...it's awesome. It was late last night, and it didn't occur to me that programming wasn't easy and that you all weren't professionals...yet...so apologies on my part!

It is, but I don't think there's enough characters or levels, or items for that matter...I dunno, he did a pretty good job though...

LOL, I checked it out a few hours ago LOL. Relatively new huh...then I guess there's no need for a econd just yet. Jerry Jackson, Blockhead, and Strawberry Clock just seem like they belong in there...

Hey everyone! I've been hearing a lot about someone making a Smash Bros like game, but has anyone thought about making a Super Smash Bros Melee game but based on Newgrounds characters? I kept looking at pictures of the gang on the main page, and thought at first that they'd be awesome in like Mario Kart, but then I thought, why not pit themselves against each other in combat? I mean think about it. The tank guy vs Pico, Jerry Jackson vs Blockhead, Foamy vs the yellow guy, Strawberry Clock vs The Madness dude? Then maybe stick all of the copyrighted people in there as unlockable characters. I just think it would be a good idea LOL. Put some items out there like the whistle. The whistle would like call like the M-Bot or Wade and like ban you or something, depending on the color of the whistle. Or better yet, you could use all the Rank Icons, like the bat, the plunger, or the super good weapons at the higher ranks. The bots should be like bosses, but they should appear in levels as well, like fighting on the audio portal, where A-Bot might blast you with his supersonic sounds while you fight (Whispy Woods from Kirby). OR even fight on people's submissions. They should be submissions that NG characters show up in though. You could also make a level full of nothing but blammed submissions too, with interactive stuff in it. The Agnry Faic has to be a boss of some kind, or show up on a hot level, or be used as an item to heat things up. Like you could fight on the ERROR! screen with him on there burning you with his eyebrows. I don't wanna go too far with having trophies, so let's not do that. I'm willing to do the music for it, I just don't know Newgrounds's theme song, so if someone can send that to me, that'd be great. Or if any other character has a theme song, direct me to that as well. Just an idea. It would prolly be one of the best games out if someone would take the time to do it LOL, but once again, it's just me being lazy at 4 in the morning 'cause I don't feel like doing homework.

*Sigh* Well, I'm kinda late, and I'm in need of help with FL. I've been making a few songs on it for about a year now, and there was this friend who's been helping me out for just about all of it, but now it seems like I've been getting on his nerves always asking for help and stuff, so that's why I'm here. I had the XXL Producer Edition, and I was working on one of my songs when I opened it up the next day and it said that my latest song was corrupted. I reinstalled it and got it back up only to find out that I was back in Demo mode, and I didn't have the files to get back into XXL. Can you help? My email's on my profile, so I guess you could either reply to this or just PM/IM me or something...'cause I really need those files if I'm ever gonna do this again...
