since the rocks are just animations put this

if you're boosting:
skip -= 1
if(skip<1){
skip = 3
}
if(skip == 3){
nextFrame()
}

it should skip out some frames and make it seem like it's going twice as fast

Response to: how frames fade... Posted March 16th, 2007 in Game Development

but that fades to whatever the bg colour is

Water Balloon Walkthrough Posted March 12th, 2007 in Where is / How to?

Passwords:
spinge
engle
chquimble
nekosuki
ledit
debug
Walkthrough:

I have left in the "right-click menu" so you can press play to skip rooms.

LEVEL 1 - The Beach:

Room 1:

Simple move to the right.

Room2:

You must jump on the off that rock to continue.

Room 3:

Wall-jump (jump while touching the wall or other hard surface) on each of the palm trees to get up. Then land safely in the water.

Room 4:

The two thick, metal bars on either side of the wire fence can be used as ladders. Climb the left one, kill the enemy at the top and either wait for the second one to climb up or just continue.

Room 5:

You must jump and when you are about to fall to your doom, discharge. You will be able to make it to the other side.

Room 6:

Build up some static and try to do the same thing to get over the fan. But don't touch the blades or you will get cut. When you have made it over the fan. Keep building up static, climb to the top of the rock wall and try to jump, then discharge, to get the purple balloon. You then jump back to the rock wall. You don't need to discharge to get back.

Room 7:

You will notice some gum on the roof. Try to stick to it and move to the wall on the side. You must then try to kill the rock and shield the sand using one shield. You must time it right. You can hit both with two shields but it makes it a whole lot easier to use one.

Room 8:

The thing in the middle of the room is a trampoline. Try to bounce on it to get up.

Room 9:

Sand Boss: Every so often, this boss will throw punches at you. Try to make him hit your shields or electricity. Eventually he will give up.

LEVEL 2 - The Rainforest:

Room 1:

Walter will meet a strange green plant that wants to spike him. You must use two shields to take this guy out. Once you do, just continue right.

Room 2:

Jump into the river but don't drown.

Room 3:

Press D to gain speed and jump when you are about to go off the waterfall.

Room 4:

Kill the first enemy with your remaining shields and kill the second one with discharge. Use discharge to climb the platforms.

Room 5:

Try to land on the left platform. Then move into the hole on the far left. Instead of dying, you see a password. Remember this password because it is the secret level password.

Room 6:

Jump onto the platform above you and aim a shield down. Try to land on the enemy with your shield pointing down and he will fall off the edge.

Room 7:

Kill the enemy here and jump down the hole.

Room 8:

Do not worry about the enemy on the right side. He is just there to distract you. You must wall-jump to get down. If you fall off, you will be killed by the fall. When you are at the bottom, you must jump then use discharge to get to the next room.

Room 9:

Quickly dodge out of the way and wall-jump to the top and build up some static. You must then fall off but use discharge before you hit the ground so you are not killed by the fall.

Room 10:

Bounce on the trampolines and discharge to get up to the purple balloon.

Room 11:

Tree Boss: Wall-jump your way up and down to get to him. When you are there, you must hit his tongue when he sticks it out. But you cannot get hit by the leaves that fall and fly from his mouth. If you run out of shields, there is a purple balloon in his branches. If you run out of shields and you have used the purple balloon, you must use discharge.

LEVEL 3 - The City:

Room 1:

Use the elevator to get up, but don't touch to spikes on the bottom.

Room 2:

Kill this enemy with 3 shields. You can tell how much health these enemies have because they have a health bar on them.
Room 3:

Flick the switch and you should have just enough time to get through before the electricity starts up again.

Room 4:

Keep jumping and moving right and the brittle wire won't be a problem.

Room 5:

Wall-jump up there

Room 6:

Make your way up and take refuge on the platform on the left. When the enemy has fallen, jump back to the wall and continue. Or you can just kill the enemy with discharge.

Room 7:

Use the elevators to get over the wall.

Room 8:

Press right as soon as possible and collect the purple balloon.

Room 9:

Make sure you discharge before you drop down into the sewers and try not to drown

Room 10:

Dive under the water to dodge the "blind mullet" and climb to the surface.

Room 11:

Continue right.

Room 12:

Robot Boss: Try to make him ram into the machine moving along above you. Discharging is dangerous even though it reduces its ‘health’ level to 1.

LEVEL 4 - The Fire Pits:

Room 1:

Kill the enemy go left.

Room 2:

Kill the enemy and go left.

Room 3:

Just hold down RIGHT.

Room 4:

Try to get underneath the wall.

Room 5i:

There's nothing you can do. It is inevitable.

Room 5ii:

Just go right.

Room 6:

Dodge the fire and go right.

Room 7:

Use the geysers to get across.

Room 8:

Go right.

Room 9:

Fire Boss: Touch his foot with a shield and make him hit the weak spot on the rock.

LEVEL 5 (A) - The Space Station:

Room 1:

Go up the elevator.

Room 2:

Go to the right.

Room 3:

Go into the rocket.

LEVEL 5 (B) – Europa:

Room 1:

Jump off and discharge to get back onto the second platform. Jump off it and make sure you discharge before you hit the ground to avoid death. Then charge up so you're ready for the next room.

Room 2:

Quickly grab the purple balloon and dodge the ice shards.

Room 3:

Quickly kill the enemy and go under the wall.

Room 4:

Go above the wall.

Room 5:

Go above the wall.

Room 6:

Go below the wall.

Room 7:

Go Above the wall.

Room 8:

Go Below the wall.

Room 9:

Go below the wall.

Room 10:

go below the wall.

Room 11:

Go above the wall.

Room 12:

Shadow Balloon Boss: You must make him fall to his doom.

Enemies:

Rocks: Very weak. Anything will kill them.

Plants: These need 2 shields or 1 discharge.

Bots: These need 3 shields or 1 discharge.

Flames: These need 1 shield. Discharge doesn't work on them.

Fire Ball: A shield can explode this enemy.

Ice Crystals: Anything will kill these.

Sand Monster: His weak spot is his hand.

Tree Monster: His weak spot is his tongue.

Super Bot: Electricity is bad for him.

Mega Flame: He has sensitive feet and hates water.

Shadow Balloon: He is the same as you.

I thought it synched up fine but most of the time sounds seemed to be missing, door opening sound, footsteps, beeps, picking up guns sound and most importantly of all, there was no music throughout the majority of it!!: Oh and also, with the sound, the voices had a buzz behind them which i find really irritating because it stops when they stop talking. If you have audacity, you can use it to remove that fuzz.

My piss is quite on. I thank you for that.

And BTW, I'm not good with sound.

I do need to get better at it.
