Topic: Trouble with Vcam exporting to .avi

I'm trying to export my flash cartoon to an .AVI file so I can burn it to a DVD, but when I export it, the Vcam doesn't work. The Vcam object shows up and the camera doesn't follow it. I'm guessing that this is because when I export to .AVI, the cartoon doesn't remember the action script for the Vcam. Is there anyway to fix this? I'm freakin out!

Wacom tablets are without a doubt the flash animator's best friend. I just got one about a year ago, and it's amazing. It's more accurate, cleaner, and cuts the time of mouse drawing in half (unless you're really good with a mouse). I have the Intuos3 9x12. It goes for about $550 on their website. These things are really freaking cool, but they also cost a pretty penny so unless you're serious about computer graphics, you may want to think twice. And to answer your last question, yeah. The pen does have a pressure sensitive nib that flash reacts differently to depending on how much pressure to give it. And yes, it is super cool.

So this is a pretty general question, but is it very difficult to make a website in flash? I've seen some really cool ones, and I want to remodle my site, so I thought it would be cool to do it in flash. My action script knowledge go about as far as making buttons, but that's it. I also know some basic HTML, but I'm no genius. Is it a lot different than HTML, or does it use alot of the same elements? I could be way out of my league with this idea, but I thought I might as well ask.

Topic: Stick Animation Question

It all depends what you're going for. I've seen some really awesome stuff done with tweening, but it can come out really crappy if not done right. I personaly like doing things frame by frame. That way, you have more control over how the animation comes out. Also, some people hate it, but doing things frame by frame can give you a really cool "jumpy" effect that makes it seem like your stick guy (or whatever) is constantly in motion. Don Hertzfeldt is the king of this technique. If you want to see what I'm talking about, check out my Yo-Yo cartoon. There's no set-in-stone way of animating. You just have to do what feels best (and looks best) to you. Hope this helps.
