One key thing that I think a lot of people don't understand is that you really can't do more than 2-3 museums in a single day, even with the extended hours. Likewise you shouldn't try to do the monuments and more than one museum in a single day. But you can do the majority of the Mall over a three-day period if you show up when the museums open and plan carefully.

I'm begging to go up there this summer. I miss DC and Fairfax so much.

I frickin love all the museums up there, but air and space is my favorite.

That's the thing, when I look for direction's on how to remove it, it won't let me. Somehow it's blocking the sites.

Security Guard 2009 manual removal:
Kill processes:
securityguard2009.exe sg2009.exe

Unregister DLLs:
AVCoreFna.dll

Delete files:

The site also recommends Malwarebytes, too.

Yeah, the virus on my computer was filename av.exe

Take a look through your processes and see if there's anything out of the ordinary.

Does it let you open your task manager?
Do you have a secondary browser on your computer?

It was highjacking my IE, but not my firefox or Opera.

Response to: Virus Bullshit Posted March 16th, 2010 in General

I haven't removed that specific virus, but I had that annoying Vista one on my computer, does the same basic thing. Hijacks your browser and redirects you to their website, denies you access to task manager etc. My kiddo clicked it thinking it really was our program.

Anyway, I found a website with step by step directions. First you stop all the processes, you'll need to know the name of the virus' file. Then you need to get into the registry (regedit) and remove all of the pathways it's set up there.

Last you remove the files. Some are most likely invisible/hidden so using command prompt can show you the exact location of the naughty file. (assuming you know the official file name)

Also, running your existing virus programs may be futile as some of these block them.

Google the name of the virus and find the official file name for it. Someone will have directions how to remove it.

The Loma Prieta of 1989 was 6.9, and that was a big one. I don´t want to imagine how it must have felt in Chile, if a 6.9 scared me. (Although, I was a kid back then... but I still remember it strong enough to move cars.)

I was out there for that quake, the one in 89. Only I wasn't in CA, I was in Nevada. But we still felt it. and I remember my uncle saying that it must've been a big one for us to feel it.

And that big one moved Chile like... 10 feet to the left or right, and slowed the world axis.

But earthquakes aren´t bad... it´s about where you are and how well built your building is. That´s why Haiti had it bad... their building codes are terrible, and that´s because their poor.

oh yeah.

The website I go to is intellicast. I like it because it tracks individual storm cells and indicates hail or wind rotation. Ive picked out where tornadoes are gonna hit using that site a ton of times.

But they have a map of daily seismic activity and it just fascinated me and I was curious why we don't hear about all these 4s and 5s.

Could it be that they're so far underground or something? I'll attach a pic.

I have a question for fli, or for anyone else in his area.

How bad does an earthquake have to be, in order for you guys to feel it and it cause a little damage? As far as magnitude goes.

I was looking at a map of daily earthquakes around the world for yesterday and there were a ton in CA logically ( I know the little ones like 1s and 2s are like constant out there), but some made 4 or 5 and I was thinking, isn't that a fairly significant quake? Or does it have to be a 7, 8 etc.

stafffighter and I discussed this on the phone earlier but ended up talking about Sean Connery and I'm not sure that conversation ever resolved anything other than how awesome he is and that I shouldn't watch the mighty boosh before bed.

An AED is the machine they use to shock people back to life. It's very dangerous if you're not trained to use one. So if you do have it, or know who does, it should be returned so you or your friends don't fry yourselves.

They're very expensive. Most counties only have a few. It's actually very likely that any the police own might have a gps tracker in them. You can't really buy them over the counter anywhere (medical supply company most likely), so selling it will be a red flag it's stolen. It'll turn up. If you don't have it, don't worry about it.

I went to see it last night, opening night down here.

There were people dressed up.

We got there 30 minutes early because we already had our tickets bought online. There was a line INSIDE to get into the room, 100 people easily. Luckily we got good seats. But that room held 500 folks easily and it was sold out. People were standing.

It was ok. I wasn't blown away, but I enjoyed it.

I might be bias. I'm a Johnny Depp fan and an Anne Hathaway fan. and a Tim Burton fan.

I enjoyed it because it reminded me alot of the book.

I have one vague memory of a time when my dad brought some freshly cooked andouille back from a trip to Louisiana (truck driver, he kept it in his cooler), the only thing I remember was that it stunk to high heaven.

I don't like the texture, it's very chewy, lots of gristle, I just don't care for it.

Good flavor, good for developing a tasty gumbo but that's just mah two cents G.

Is this the most your area has seen, since you've been there ?

Oh yeah. This is almost the most snow we've had ever, as in a record winter. But I've lived down here like 15 years now, and its definitely the most Ive seen.

We've been having snowing ,then warming trends, so the snows only 4 or so inches deep, but its sitting on a layer of ice that's an inch or so ,which makes for difficult travel on foot in the country. But its still better than several feet of snow.
With snow & cold just below freezing, everywhere you go people are in light jackets & sneakers (I'm still in shorts) it's a rather odd thing to go outside in February & the temp. is around 30-34 degree's...feels like spring.

Ours has been up and down. I wore a dress to work on Monday, and then snow on Tuesday night. Insane.

Hope I don't jinx us, but it has been a relatively good winter, with below average snowfalls & the really bitter cold was only with us for less than 2 weeks & February is usually one of our worst months.

I wonder what happened to all the snow ?

It came down here :-)
