The little quote snippet caught my eye because I saw the word "tolerate" and I like that word. And you're right, I know barely anything about you. And judging from this topic it seems the problem is more widespread than I thought. I've done both and I prefer airsoft. Part of me likes the realistic weapons, but it is also an issue of money.
Whenever I went paintballing there was always some elitist paintball prick on the field who has spent thousands of dollars on gun upgrades. I don't like feeling inadequate in a sport because I can't afford awesome equipment. In that sense, airsoft is easier to get into because you can be well-off for less.
