I bumped into this quote few days ago. It's not the suffering, but the pain that teaches you the most:

"People are afraid of themselves, of their own reality; their feelings most of all. People talk about how great love is, but that's bullshit. Love hurts. Feelings are disturbing. People are taught that pain is evil and dangerous. How can they deal with love if they're afraid to feel?

Pain is meant to wake us up. People try to hide their pain. But they're wrong. Pain is something to carry, like a radio. You feel your strength in the experience of pain. It's all in how you carry it. That's what matters. Pain is a feeling. Your feelings are a part of you. Your own reality. If you feel ashamed of them, and hide them, you're letting society destroy your reality. You should stand up for your right to feel your pain."

Topic: Who do you turn to for advice?

Posted: 06/07/09 01:59 PM

Forum: General

It really depends on what kind of advice I am looking for.

If it comes to relationship problems, I usually turn to my close friends for advice.

School problems (f.e. I don't feel like taking the exam) I turn to my family. They don't have a last say or so, I just want to talk it over with them, they tend to drop couple of good advices. After all, they know me the best.

Now that I look at it, it's usually family and trusted friends :)

Nice quote. I am trying to balance out whether this is good or bad. I mean, it's really nice and all that, but people need to move on, they shouldn't be reminded of the diseased ones they cared about via internet, they stay in their heart.

Nah, I know that, just... it's kinda weird to just think about it. As in, there is hardly a connection between being dead and internet, and then you bump into something like this. Makes your mind wonder...

The other day I had an interesting experience. A very close friend of mine was checking out the Facebook of her diseased cousin who unfortunately died at a very young age (may his soul rest in peace).

Now, it didn't really freak me out, but... woah, it was weird for me that it's still there and there were people still writing on his wall. It got me thinking how many people there are out there with their accounts still active although they passed away and how we are so intervened with internet today that even when you pass away, there will be a mark of you left on it, doesn't matter how small the mark is.

I know I might be thinking way ahead of myself, but... what's your thoughts on it?

TL;DR Internet Accounts + Death = ?

If you feel uncomfortable with it, tell your dad or someone who could handle the situation calmly.
I don't think you should talk to her yourself, it might be too much for her to handle.

First of all, the end of the Mayan calendar in the year 2012 does not mean the world will end. Mayans had a great understanding of our solar system cycles and simply believed they coincided with our consciousness. During the year 2012, known as the "Time of No time" great changes inside great cycles will take place, which will thrust us into the new stage of evolution, as individuals and as a mankind.

Second, it's not only the stupid calendar. The Bible codes and prophecies of Nostradamus indicate that the year 2012 might be a year of change.

I don't think its gonna be a world end scenario. It might be just the time of great spiritual change. After all, wouldn't it be great to wake up on the first morning of 2012 to the better world we ever expected?

P.S. The Fallen's number isn't 666. Do some research.
