I wish to time travel back to the 70's and see bon scott perform with ac/dc live
Granted, you go to the concert see bon scott and ac/dc and enjoy yourself a lot. Unfortunately before you step back in your time machine to go back to the present you realize that there's a warning sign there you didn't notice before. It says that however many years you back and forward in time will be added onto your age when you go forward in time. Since the concert happened in 1977, going forward in time would mean adding 37 years onto your age. Now you have to decide if you want to stay in the past and leaves all your friends and family behind or go into the future and be that much older when you get there.
I wish that tomorrow was opposite day.

Isn't a gobba a mouth and a gobber, someone who spits a lot?
I heard that Fieldertiger makes his living as a merchant of Siberian Tiger parts.

Oral, not a big fan of the taste of feces.

Granted, unfortunately when you come in you wind up signing a contract that somehow legally allows them to pay you less than minimum wage and prevents you from leaving the job for a period of no less than 100 years. Enjoy!

Don't you know that doing so can be extremely lucrative?
The worst accident with an animal I've been in was when I was coming down the road after midnight and a rabbit ran right in front of my car. I try to swerve to avoid it, but it kept swerving the same way I did. He was dead on impact. Aside from that I've had pretty good luck with pets and wild animals so far; no major incidents yet.

I personally prefer Pastrami, but hard Genoa salami has its charm as well.

I think I rather be a zombie, because at least it would afford me physical pleasures. Somehow going around as a shapeless, formless being doesn't seem much fun.
Would you rather live in the world of Minecraft or live in the World of Warcraft universe?

I would much rather stop the sick post if the alternative if dying.

installing 7 might make things run a bit faster, it might not be noticeable.
I agree with yurgenburgen. Some people have mentioned that the netbook may be optimized for use with Windows 8, but if it's running slow and you know what you're doing you might as well give it a try. It is hard to imagine how that netbook would run well in Windows 8, even if you really stripped it down. Later systems usually need slightly more powerful hardware after all.
Some people also mentioned Linux. There are versions of Linux that are really easy on a system like that, unfortunately they may not be wholly compatible with your hardware. If you go with something based on one of the more popular distributions like Ubuntu or Mint you have a better chance of having your hardware completely supported. You could also just research the Linux OS's to see which ones are the best fit for your hardware.
Of course, if you're not familiar with Linux, this is kind of a useless option. What good is a fast OS if you don't know how to use it. Most people can't spend a month just learning how to use a computer. After all, I'm sure you have actual work you need to do on it soon. If you're not prepared to abandon Windows altogether, but are still intrigued by the Linux option you could burn a Linux Live CD or two to try. Dual booting is also an option.
You could also try tweaking your Windows 8 to get a bit more performance out of it. Blackviper is a decent resource for that, just make sure you back up before you try things out.
Anyway, I wish you luck.

I don't know why, but this post remind me of that Explosm animation.
Also, I didn't mention this before, but some of the effects of prolonged sitting can actually be lessened by laying down. It does make a certain amount of sense After all, he normal human being lays down for 6-8 hours a night. Also I sometimes use a treadmill standing desk I rigged together while doing extensive office work. It's pretty easy actually. You just buy a cheap treadmill (manual ones are often cheaper and smaller) and then just bolt it under your desk.

Can you add in some details, because I have no idea what you're talking about. You could be describing a hurricane, tropical storm, tornado, snowstorm, dust storm, hailstorm, or rainstorm literally anywhere in the world.
So, there are a lot of alternatives to Boy Scouts in the US, although most of them are quite a bit smaller. Also, the Boy Scouts operate differently in every country they exist in. So, there's no sense on giving up on the whole endeavor, just because some of the branches are a little unusual. After all, BSOA doesn't have a monopoly on scouting, they've just placed their own spin on an activity that has existed for millennia.

Today's is the People's Climate March, which includes a large march in New York City corresponding with a UN summit on the climate crisis along with thousands of smaller marches worldwide. Here's the website along with a little background news article on it. Some of the marches are already under way and some will be ramping up later. The NYC one starts at 11:30 am. So, do you plan on marching in the NYC march or a local one? What do you think of marches like this? Do you think that these marches will draw the attention of world leaders?

Granted, you get perfect wisdom. Unfortunately the knowledge of all things leads you to great despair and isolation from humanity. Knowing all the problems and the solutions without the power to affect any of it is an awful fate.

Even if you were born with it, why would you ever want to use such a capability?
So, I recently came across a short article about the Nigerian Space Agency. After reading it, it occurred to me that there must be many other Space Agencies besides the ones we commonly associate with the term. I assume there were maybe 30 countries with their own Space agency, but in fact there are more than 65 and many have multiple space agencies. While most of these nations do not have launch capability, it is encouraging how many nations at least view Space as important enough to devote funds and effort to. I wonder how many of these nations will have launch capability in 20 or 30 years.
So, look up your own country and let me know what you think. Are you surprised at the capabilities of some of these nations? How many of these agencies do you view as seriously trying to advance their own countries capabilities?

So what do you guys think Alex Salmond will be up to now that he's resigned?
Most people who already enjoy drinking it probably won't even notice. In general people drink PBR more because its cheap than because its an American owned beer, so I don't see the sales changing much.
