What if we are? What would it matter if we appear believable as people to you?

What if the French never sent their troops and money to help the Americans fight the British? Try to include the effects it would have on the outcome of the Revolutionary War, and how it would change the French Revolution as well.
I think there is a pretty decent chance that the colonies would have lost the American Revolution without France's help. Also, high debt France accumulated helping them was a major cause of the French Revolution. I still think the French Revolution would have happened eventually, but in all likelihood it would have been neither as long nor as bloody. Also the French, English, and other European powers were spending plenty of money on foreign wars at this point, so it's not like the French would have been rolling in cash if not for their support of the American Revolution either.
If the Americans lost the American Revolution to the British I think they would have tried again sometime later. As we see over the course of history, no colonial power is able to hold onto its colonies forever, especially if they really want to become independent. That same applies for the colonies. It may have taken another few decades or longer, but they would have become independent eventually if they continued to want to. Also, the French Revolution may have been put off a little bit.
It's also worth noting that French money added quite a few guns and supplies to the American Revolution along with their own forces, so even if the colonies had managed to win without French help the death toll would have been much higher and the descent to guerrilla warfare tactics much swifter. In all likelihood the war would have lasted much longer and it would be hard to imagine that future relations with Britain would have been patched up quite as quickly as they did. Who knows, maybe we wouldn't have sided with the British and French during WWI if the French hadn't helped us during the war. Anyway, this flight of fancy seems to be going off the deep end quick, so I think I'll stop here.

So, what if the Japanese had not sued for peace after the dropping of the second nuclear weapon by the Americans on Nagasaki?
So Newgrounds, got any fun plans for Halloween or whatever the equivalent is where you live?
Also, here's a fine piece of Halloween art from liransz, because hey why not. Check her out if you like her style. I sure do.

It would be really cool if you added some of that info to the Wikia BigFatKid. The Barney Bunch entry could really use some more useful info added to it.
So, I've been way later getting this out that I intended too for numerous reasons. Sorry everyone, I'll do better next month. Anyway, here's your list.

Anyway, just two more things before I go.
First, if you see any errors or omissions in this list, please let me know and I'll fix and repost it. I'm inputting the info individually into a spreadsheet, so there's bound to be an error or omission somewhere.
Second, when you make a list like this you realize is stark detail home many posts are being taken out of the forums when people choose to delete all or many of their posts to start over. Not only are all their posts deleted, but all the posts in the threads they create as well. In this way a part of Newgrounds forum history is lost forever, which is a sad thing. I wish there was a better way to satisfy people's right to be forgotten while still saving some of the positive content that is linked to them from others. Alas there is not, at least for now.

Frankly it'd be a shame I couldnt listen to original video game music and stuff but that's about all I'd really miss. Most of the other youtubers are former NG members anyway :P
Dailymotion.com came out around the same time as Youtube and it remains it's biggest direct competitor. If Youtube hadn't existed they would have occupied the top spot for some time. We would also have a more diverse video sharing landscape of websites, since Dailymotion did not have quite the same level of innovations that made Youtube so dominant so quickly.
In case you didn't realize (and most people don't), Eastern Congo is a hot mess. In the provinces of North Kivu and South Kivu , which include around 10 million people, over 50 armed groups compete for control in a constantly shifting landscape. Below is an approximate map from June of this year and it is already hopelessly outdated. These groups are not simply bandits. In general,
"Almost all these groups have committed violent acts against either civilian population or opposed actors. Nonetheless, almost all these groups carry (at least to some extent) a political ideology and motivation. Whether self-defence, grievance over land and/or resources, political participation, or others and whether justified or not, is subject to respective debate." (Christoph Vogel 2014).
This doesn't even include the smaller, newer, or less known groups at work in the area along with the armies of neighboring nations at work in the area. Nobody really knows how many armed groups are at work in the area at any given time. That is how lawless and chaotic it is. Of course, it doesn't help that the area is extremely resource rich so that the risk of operating there outweighs the benefit for many nonstate actors.
Why doesn't the army of the Democratic Republic of Congo come in and route out all the armed groups from the area? How many resources are being illegally mined and shipped out in any given year? What sort of violations go on in the territory on any given day? How can a country claim ownership over a territory that they hardly control at all?
At best we can guess at the answers to some of these questions. It is one of the most complicated political issues in the entire world. Here's an article that can give you a little bit of a taste for the situation going on there.
So, what do you think of what is going on there? Do you hold out any hope for a resolution over control of the area in the future?
My pet peeve is when someone you don't know pokes you to get your attention. It's one thing if they know you or if that's their culture, then I understand. However if none of those things are true then there are literally a million ways to get my attention without poking me. Also, if I don't respond when you've poked me once do not then continue to poke me until you get my attention. I mean christ, I live in a low context culture. If you've lived here your whole life you should have figured that out by now.

So what you're saying is we mail Ama this guy at which point he writes himself into his will, murders the guy and then comes back to Belgium and showers Newgrounds with his new found billions. Brilliant if you could pull it off. Devious and highly illegal, but brilliant!
So what is the most you have ever weighed your entire life. Kilos, pounds, or any other standardized measure of weight you feel like listing it in are equally acceptable. Photos are appreciated, but not required. Add some details in two. After all, what good is a number without any context.

Could I large country with a very limited government function, sure. Large countries countries with almost no functioning government like the Democratic Republic of Congo function, they just don't function well. I think for a large minarchy to function well you would need large numbers of relatively wealthy and ideologically similar libertarians that would be willing to live together in one spot. Something similar to Peter Thiel's seasteading idea, but on a massive scale. You would also need those members to agree on very limited changes to their government structure over time, since lots of changes tend to trend toward greater government control. If you could maintain that for a few generations this would probably work out.

I for one miss Lavabit.com. It was a great little encrypted email service that ran for many years, before eventually being forced to shut down rather then comply with a search warrant from the US government. It really stuck its neck out for its users and I appreciated that. Few other websites would have done the same.
Well it looks like this opening bid from the EU has been met by a no from Cameron. I wonder what happens next and if other countries may decide to do the same.

They would be kind of like those dogs at the pound or shelter that all bark at the same time and look as cute as possible, because they want you to take them home.

Better to lean toward more polite and more formal. The worst you can do is give someone and honor they don't deserve and then they'll probably correct you. The alternative of leaning toward being less formal can be very dangerous depending on what country you happen to find yourself in. Even in countries that lean toward informality there tend to be little pockets of high contest cultures where this doesn't apply.
