I'd ask him if he needs any help. I'm a good friend.
I've never even been on Newgrounds. It looks like a really terrible website, and its forum users seem incredibly dumb. Why would anybody waste their time with that place?

You know, I only made it through the first few episodes because I was disappointed by the "case of the week" set up. I'll have to give the show a second try now because I did like the characters somewhat, aside from the main blonde woman.

I guess that was kind of funny. Well done. A for effort!

Does it even matter which side the currency symbol is on? Why does every pseudo-intellectual think that making simple things convoluted makes them come off as profound?
I would argue that you're taking this too seriously, and that your attempt to interpret this as something profound makes you the pseudo intellectual.
Merry Christmas everyone!

I like the spirit of what you're saying! How about something like posing the question, "When does philosophizing on the origins and meaning of our existence become futile or boring?"
Also, I make fun of German writers all the time in front of my class, so I don't see a problem with branching out toward Russian authors... I was never a fan of Dostoyevsky anyway.

There's no deadline, son! This is an optional assignment, and it's merely for extra credit.

I don't think very many of my students will be able to identify the nine D&D alignments, but I like the idea behind this. If you could find a way to get around that little caveat, then I'd love to use the dinner party idea as a creative writing prompt! Good stuff.

With a bit of tweaking, I think I could use this! Thanks.

10th grade and creative writing, which consists of 10th through 12th.

Jay? Really?
I think it was Mrs. Peacock. She did it in the lounge with a candlestick. All evidence says so.

What the fuck does that expression even mean? The Winter is greeting us?
Alright so here's the deal: I've had five Wild Blues and am getting too drunk to write anything productive. I'm trying to come up with a month's worth of writing prompts to use for my classes (I'm an English teacher if you can believe that). My brain is starting to hurt though, and I've got no more ideas. So instead of asking my boring coworkers for help or using some bullshit teacher's textbook, I've decided to turn to you morons for help.
If you're up for it, recommend me some original writing prompts to use. They will be used in a high school setting, so unless you want me not picking your idea, I suggest that you come up with something viable. If you follow any of the usual types of threads I make, you know that I usually like to toy around with existential shit such as the value of life. These are the types of things I force my students to mull over, just as a reference point. You, however, can come up with anything you'd like!
If I happen to like your idea, then I'll let you know that I plan to use it in my class, and I'll then keep you updated in regard to the type of writing it yielded from my students. Due to FERPA, I obviously won't be able to reveal anything too... revealing. So just be satisfied by the fact that you're helping me force students to write, or something.
In before everyone calls me a shitty teacher.

Or just watch it for yourself.

I think this is a fair statement, especially when you consider the pilot.
Though I do wish they'd kept Daniel instead of incorporating Tina.

I don't understand how religious people get offended by shit like this. If you really have faith in whatever it is that those people believe, then surely the actions of others wouldn't be able to diminish that? Or maybe religious people are incredibly nervous and afraid on the inside, and they need something to cling onto for comfort.

Greetings Anime club members.
I'm here to ask for some recommendations from you guys. I'm quite far from being a fan of anime; my interest in it peaked rather quickly as a teen, and didn't extend very far from whatever I'd find on television.
Having said that, I'm looking for something new to watch. Preferably, I'd like something that I can access online and don't have to buy. Honestly though, I'll take any recommendations you may have into consideration. So if there's anything you'd recommend a newbie like me, I'd greatly appreciate it.
The only anime I've really been able to continue enjoying into adulthood is Cowboy Be Bop. I fucking love that shit. Also, I always liked Yu Yu Hakusho -- I just recently finished up rewatching the series online. I can name a dozen other shows, but I've never actually sat down to watch any of them. Instead, I'll leave it up to you guys to recommend me something great.
Thanks and happy holidays.

Just download a cracked version of Final Draft, bro. Don't waste money on that shit.
Just kidding. Pirating is bad, and I don't condone it.
Always Sunny wasn't all that great in the beginning, but got better with time if you ask me. Now a days, it's starting to lose my interest, but for the most part it's a pretty good show.

All of this is great advice.
Also, if you're in an artistic slump, try reading a good book or listening to some new music. Do something that fuels your creativity instead of dwelling on the fact that you've got not motivation at the moment.
It seems like maybe you're trying to do too much at once - are you a cartoonist, writer, musician or actress? Pick an artform and play around with it for a while. I don't know what other kind of advice to give you because you mostly just talked about how you're in a slump and feeling down, etc etc

Well now you just sound a little bitter. You be yourself, and let them do the same. No need for the hatred, unless you're somehow jealous of not fitting into their clique or whatever. If someone is a dick toward you, then that's one thing; but to automatically hate someone because they're different than you is counterproductive.
i just think of it like this . i am who i am and i`ll never change for anyone that i don`t like . so to me - everything i do is cool enough and seriously some people really need to get real a little bit because if they can`t call themselves cool enough then how are they supposed to be succesful in life ?
Right on.

You just made a thread exemplifying it. Man up and quit considering other kids as being cooler than you. That's the genuinely cool thing to do, and it'll likely make middle or high school or whatever you're in a lot easier for you.
The saddest thing in the world to me is seeing kids deliberately push themselves into this "not cool enough" mindset. I saw it when I was in school, and I see it now as a teacher.
