It's weird that large quantities of sightings of aliens and UFO's are always spotted BY insane people.

I didn't rip on Mary, But could you think of a better example of a Rom com? Didn't think so.

I knew you would agree with me on this ;)

I really love how the writer depicted the story in such a non-linear fashion. It gives us a lot of funny cuts between days (the elevator cut after the dance sequence being one of the best examples) and gives originality to a genre that is usually dull and predictable. I felt it was kind of a mix between Annie Hall and Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind (two of my favorite movies of all time).

Yeah it was very clever, how it related backt oe verything aswell later, like when he says all the things her likes about her, the eyes, the birthmark and how he loves being reminded of that song, then later on says how hates all of it and screams 'I HATE THIS SONG!' on the bus. That was very funny.

So far for 2009, it's my favorite film, followed closely by District 9, Tetro, Up and Funny People. I haven't seen Inglorious Basterds yet though, so that could steal the top spot...

I'm definetely going to see District 9 and Funny people ASAP, it's on ma' list.

(500) Days of Summer is brilliant. Posted September 4th, 2009 in General

I was a bored man today. Nothing to do for the night. Even a 16 year old student can get bored of an xbox pretty quick. I normally do one of three things when I'm bored. Having stretched Xbox and porn I thought I'd make use of my unlimited card again, and see something at the cinema.

I'll be blunt, There's like nothing on I haven't already seen or wasn't booked up (DISTRICT 9 >:( )so I made do with what was on. (500) days of Summer didn't look like my type of film. I honestly was imaging another along came polly, There's something about mary or something.

JESUS CHRIST, It was completely different, it wasn't some shitty rom com, it was a life story, a life lesson about love and fate, with some great comedy thrown in. I was literally stunned by how good this film was. It's gonna' be a favourite of mine for a long, long time.

IF YOU LOVE FILMS SEE IT. It is excellent!
