But... the API itself will not work unless the game is on the Wiicade site. You can put it on any website you want, but the buttons will only actually work on Wiicade.

Actually I tend to agree with what everyone else is saying, I've been playing around on wii cade with my wii, its really quite simple, instead of a embedded object I think all they're doing is putting it so you open the flash with a link rather than the embedded idea. It seems quite simple.

You do have a point, now if someone out there could find that java i'd be more than happy to give you credit!

Again, sorry to bump my own post, but I went to bed last night and no one really seemed to be awake who could help me. Well I asume at 1:00 PM you are...

Ok, according to what the other guy said, the API was the problem,(if you don't know what that is read above posts)

At 7/9/07 07:29 AM, Rathanos wrote: Did you use the API provided on the website? Seems to be the most likely issue right now.

Hes right and wrong. I think I'm using the API right, seeing as I uploaded the example on to a free hosting website and loaded it on my wii, the only thing I could click was the A button.

(go here is where I put it: http://www.freewebs.com/wiiflashtest/)

As you can see you can only use the A button on a Wii mote...

So, my problem was how am I supposed to get the flash to work if its on the Opera flash player? Is there a way to make a downloadable to the Wii channels. I know I'm asking alot but again, this is all out of curiosity to see if it will work...

Response to: Wii Flash Question Posted July 9th, 2007 in Game Development

Sorry to bump my own post, but I have another problem with said Wii-flash.

After quite a lot of more research, (this time I actually did it and am stumped) I was unable to figure out how exactly a Wii-flash game would work (the guy who sent me the wii remote flash example, if your still on maybe you could help).

Opera uses the Wii remote as an only point and click rather than all buttons. The B button drags and scrolls the page, the 1 button doen't do anything, the 2 butoon resizes the page, the dpad moves the page, etc.

So my new question is this: how will flash work than being on a page? Please someone help...

Wii Flash Question Posted July 9th, 2007 in Game Development

I'm sure everyone with a Wii knows what I'm talking about. The "Made directly for Wii flash games" ? Well I've found something, most of the ones I've played on Wii are really easy to make like A is just Left click, movement of coarse is mouse movement. But what about the arrow keys? You know the little direction pads on a Wii-mote? Is is possible to use those in flash game programming? If so what buttons on the key board would equal those on the Wii-mote.

Its not a very important question, I just wanna know out of curiosity if anyone does know.

So, think you can help me out? Then please respond.

Sorry to bump my own topic, but I'd like to say I agree with some of you opinions and glad people actually agree with mine. Heres another one for you, speaking of the "Rome-ish" (I believe was the phrase used) way our society has become.

Is our country going down the tube?

Thats also makes me think about that Rome topic, how long do most empires last? I know some of you might say "but America isn't an empire!" well sadly, even though we are a democratic-republic, behind that is, in a sense, an empire.

So, how long will we last?

(Note, I like to argue for some reason and am very bored on a Sunday, so please reply)

Has it all gotten to be too much? Posted April 22nd, 2007 in Politics

Think about our society and how it is today. Some one constantly on a cell phone, the supped out car with everything you want, easy access stores at all times, Walmart, instant gratification, and of coarse our beloved interwebs.

I'm not saying any of this is bad, but has it gotten to be too much?

Think, even, how people talk. (This urks me soooo freakin' much) lol, ttyl, omg, wtf, lirl, bff, wtf, etc, etc, etc.... (ha, contradicted myself there abbreviating etcetera) But besides the point, must we actually be too lazy to just type.

About the cell-phones, do people really need to stay in contact with each other that much they need to do it wherever they are? Cell phones should only be used in emergences only. No, you cannot use it to call your "giiirl friiiends!!!" .

Cars? When have they become such a necessity to be "pimped out" ? Shouldn't they just get from point A to point B?

My whole point on this rant, is people I think have lost common sense due to lack of hardships. Have your parents ever once whined saying "I have to walk all the way to Karrie's house again!?" no, because they used to do it all the time. I bet Karrie only lives a street away too.

So am I alone here?

I am actually honest to god 14 and think teenagers in America are whinny ass little bastards!

Please tell me someone agrees with me.

Well no, like one guy said we evolved from a creature in which so did the monkeys, but none-the-less we came from that same creature giving us relationships with the monkeys therefore going against what that one guy said that i was trying to disprove.

And I must say "ignorance is bliss" and you know why? Because if we where all still ignorent we would leave it at that, god is the all and powerful creator and people like us wouldn't even be having theses arguments.

But I must say though, I'm glad someone brought up the question of god's existence, because this forum to me is damn fun.

Response to: Science VS Religion Posted April 22nd, 2007 in Politics

yeah, i read that somewhere about gorge lucas about how he survived a car crash or something, and called god the force.

Response to: Science VS Religion Posted April 22nd, 2007 in Politics

ha ha, yoda... yes, if there is a god, you could call him the force that surrounds us.. is in the trees, the waters- ect.

Response to: Science VS Religion Posted April 22nd, 2007 in Politics

In what way? how does one know what ignorance is without knowing it yourself? What I just said actually, I will admit is quite immature, because it goes back to the old stand-by: "it takes one to know one". But on what stands are you calling me ignorant, prove so and I may agree with you...

little old, but I love this thread... K the quote. If we evolved from monkeys, they are still here due to natural selection, see, you don't see mokeys in cutivated areas such as here, becasue they all evolved into the people we are today, because thats what we needed to survive. But unmoderen places like Africa don't need such hi9gh standereds so monkeys still exsist there.

He was fired because he was a fucking cunt, not because he was racist.
Actually he was fired because the advertisers kept pulling out because a small army of easilty offended people complained and the media made it seemed like it was a very large group of people.

Personally, I don't think he was racist at all. If he had said (note pretend hes black) all the honkeys are *insert some offensive word here* and that it was in a joking matter

I would honestly laugh... very hard too. So I don't see how it was Imus's fault being kicked off the air.

This sets of his whole point I think. See people now a days usually get their religion from their parents. I know. Whenever we're in science class talking about the big bang, some dumb ass religious kid has to butt in and say, "but what about god?" Again, like in the quote, if you want to believe in god go ahead, but if we're watching a video and they say clearly that a big bang theory makes more logical sense, you don't have to believe in it, so therefore you don't have to question it. All science and religion are trying to say is an explanation to the unexplainable. But, going back to the first post, religion should be banned in fact. If you think about it long enough, there are more wars started in the name of god than any other wars. So my question, why should we keep it? Religious people are just to used to being told of there religion and not choosing it themselves. I too am agnostic. Not because I was told, because I found out for myself, thaty to me, god didn't make any sense so I didn't become religious. The point of this is to choose your faith and be happy about it, and if you change your mind, who cares?!

Response to: Science VS Religion Posted March 28th, 2007 in Politics

Come on science is defiantly the answer, tell me all you catholics, do you actually think that if you tell some guy behind a box you killed a man, that suddenly makes it all better? Its like running to mommy with a cut expecting her magic kiss to make it fell better. And then just christens in general. You know not of any other possible solutions because you where sheltered into thinking that by your parents, grow some balls and make a choice on your own. And then, you know what religion honestly is? Its when a bunch of people made up something to explain the unexplainable. Ok? So stop! And I don't care if I rot in hell for saying that, cause if god loves us, why did he create hell? Rotting for eternity because of something you did to maybe one person. That seems unfair.
