More like a big cousin problem. My cousin thinks that he's my older brother because my family is very close and he's always taken care of me and seen me as a little sister...so i guess he feels that he has to play the big brother role? my actual brother doesn't really give a shit what i do...and even offers to show me to how to mix Vodka with certain things.

My cousin on the other hand tells me frequently he'll kill any guy talking to me...i thought he was joking...until he pressed redial on my phone to find out who i was talking to. I don't think he'd hurt anyone but i do think he'd make empty threats and embarrass the shit out of me. I really need some help here...i'm going to have to bring someone home EVENTUALLY and i'd really like it if he didn't leave the house with piss stained pants.

WTF is going on with Teens these days? i'm not trying to blame movies and videogames. But i think they encourage it, parents of course are the main problem, and bullying, but violence from different medias, movies, forensics shows (one guy after watching forensics shows was encouraged to kill), videogames, seem to grow and entice the ideas that are already set in the mind of a sick person. Bullying and bad parents have been around for years, but notice how just as videogames get more violent, as well as popular and movies as well the school shootings increase?

I'm not saying that if i sit for 10 days playing bloody war games i'll want to kill, but it definately doesn't help someone already under intense emotional stress, and violent issues. They need to talk about their problems, not sit in front of a tv killing virtual characters, if they didn't have videogames as a distraction and were left to their thoughts they could end up doing something self destructive, or look for help after thinking things through. Anyways i'm just rambling.

This can sometimes happens when people hang out with others of different backgrounds, that doesn't mean you should leave them, if you like the people enough you stick it out. I'm not going to go with the "blacks" just because you think racial allocating works which it doesn't, if i sit with some random black guy there's no guarantee i'll get along with him/her anymore than with any other ethnicity, friendship doesn't get created through skin but through respect and acceptance.

I haven't made any black friends because so far none of the ones i met has had anything in common with me. The friends i have now arent worth much as friends anyways, then again most people i know aren't. So it's a moot point.

I don't think so, maybe with materialistic look obsessed girls, but my asian and black friends tell me my hair is fine or don't mention it at all. My sister is white she tells me "what happened to my sisters beautiful curly hair?" when i straighten it. People only get angry when i threaten to cut it because they wish they had long hair, which is fine i love long hair too.

I'm not saying my friends are racist because they want my hair straight, i'm saying that plus other things they do add to it, like...once in black history month one went "what they did to the slave was horrible" me the only black kid in the class she had to start talking to about that. I'm not saying that she's offensive to me all the time, but these type of race issues should NEVER happen, i shouldn't have any suspicions. I have other white friends and none of them made me feel different. I just feel like with them my skin color can sometimes be the elephant in the room.

Are you friends with people of different ethnicitys? do you ever feel left out or isolated? i have two very close white friends (i'm half black) but i feel very isolated from them, i like them, but they say and do things that are kinda offensive, and they also try to style me to look as much like them as possible, i have curly thick hair, and they are constantly demanding me to straighten it, dye it, whatever.

I see that they can think that my hair looks nice straight, but despite my telling them that i burn myself when i straighten it myself, and it costs too much money to do professionally they keep looking at my hair with disgust, which is not dirty and is somewhat tamed. Think of Sarah Jessicas Parkers hair and add some frizz.

Finally they had a friend that kept screaming "NI****" over and over not at me but as some kinda of stupid rambling nonsense.... and as most people will vouch when surrounded by people who are different from you but the same with eachother it's very difficult to defend yourself without looking like a nut. I told my friends what she was doing was bothering me and they just dismissed it as her joking around, am i being too sensitive or are they bad company?

Is there a difference? what would you see as a difference in beautiful in pretty. I believe that Beauty is something that you can admire for how it looks but it may not necessarily make you connect with it emotionally and want to keep it, like the Mona Lisa is a beautiful painting, you like it because of how it looks but it's not something you want to take home or own, or admire day after day. Beauty stops you in your tracks and lures you in.

A daisy for example to some is pretty, its not as amazing or gorgeous as the Mona Lisa, but it incites a more caring response. because of its delicacy and grace, its not overwhelming alluring and wouldnt stop you on a average day to stare, but can be appreciated. And once you get close you cant help but stare and appreciate it.
