Posted: 08/14/09 06:43 PM

Forum: General

people who cling to highschool really need to move on with their lives. I'm not saying its bad to want to be with highschool friends...but if all you're going to do is sit around and talk about school after you've graduated...dear lord...move on!!! i just graduated and all these fucking people i never talked to or liked are adding me on facebook, msn, aol.

I blocked the few who made no sense to add because i only said about 3 sentences to them in the past 4 years and the ones i did add WONT STOP BOTHERING ME.

People SHUT UP about highschool..are you truly lonely that you can't make new friends and think up new conversations? my cousin is 28 he has pretty much done NOTHING with his life. So has his friends, so when they all come together the conversation is "HEY remember how great i was in highschool?" "remember that girl i liked?" "where are they now?" for those of you who just graduated like me, do not cling on to highschool, make new effin friends, and have more stories to tell then your glory days in school PLEASE!

I didn't say i LOVED it. I said it was entertaining. With the cheesiness, all the stereotypes and the corny cliches. But at least most of the fight scenes were interesting to me. They had martial arts so that was enough to keep me watching.

You're being ignorant. NEITHER of the films I mentioned follows that format. Your complaint doesn't really seem to be "I don't like action films", but rather "I don't like Michael Bay or Ronald Emmerich films".

Every action movie can't be made by Michael Bay or Ronald Emmerich. Everytime someone makes me watch one or i see a trailer for one i see plot holes or cheesy cliches. Given the fact that the majority of action movies i take a chance on piss me off in someway i've given up on them completely and i don't bother with them unless a movie seems like it's REALLY worth it. Vantage Point was the last one before GIJoe, Vantage Point was the worst 2 hours i've ever wasted, and GIjoe, could have been for rent, but admittedly entertaining.

Not that I have anything against skanks. Someone's got to fuck you.

yeh you like it for the action. I hate the action, bores the shit out of me, especially when its done wrong. I like fight scenes at times only if they are done right, sometimes the punches and kicks are too fast for me to even follow so there is not much of a point in watching. I was COMPLETELY bored by transformers because they just looked like hunks of junk rolling around, too much detail and it was going too fast too see. I'd much rather watch japanese fighting, that usually goes slower and the flips and twists are more entertaining to me than. *kick punch kick*

Yes there's a lot of garbage like Transformers 2, but there's also plenty of fantastic actions films, like Aliens or Terminator 2.

Action movies always have the same basic elements. Some chick with her boobs all out there for no reason, Some guy running around with guns all hardcore and shit. I'm not interested or excited by seeing explosions or fights or something getting stabbed. I can't understand whats peoples obsession with seeing shit explode, yes thats what happens when you detonate a bomb, bubbles don't come out, fire fucking does. And in every action movie there is ALWAYS an explosion, and thats when i start getting bored.

Gone in 40 seconds actually is the only one that i like. I'm sure that there are some really great ones. But i don't have the patience to go through the crappy ones to find the good stuff. And i don't trust peoples recommendations, anyone who watches at least one action movie a month and loves it can't be trusted. Usually the most popular ones like Bad Boys, and Die Hard, are the ones i hate.

Why? i just can't take them seriously. I never bother with them, because they usually just make me annoyed, even if the plot is good, there is usually some kinda of plot hole that irritates the hell out of me because i analyze the shit out of things. But the thing that pisses me off is the uncreative cheesiness i don't need to see an action movie to know that:

Some really buff guy has to save a large sum of people who don't even know they're in trouble from doom.but in the process of saving them he has to sacrifice some hundred lives in a destructive car chase.

A girl with extremely tight clothes which she shouldnt be able to run in, and boobs that should hurt epic ouchies from flopping around will either need to be saved from a gun or is using one is involved with Mr. Buff guy.

Some nerd is screaming "I NEED MORE TIME TO GET THE THINGIE WITH MY GADGET."

There is a van somewhere with technology that should alert some kinda federal govt.

A very talented guy or weak guy who is cracking jokes.

A tough girl who gets her heart melted by love.

An angry guy who doesn't get his heart melted with love, but likes to hurt people.

A bald/slickhaired villain who talks way too much about his plans to hurt Mr. Buff guy then gets killed.

Somebody falls in a bottomless because apparently wallmart sells them half off.

Something is done in slow motion.

Buff guy gets his shirt off somehow at some point, then walks/runs away from an explosion with guns or a chick.

And all of this is done with no arrests for Mr Buff Guy or any complaints from the general public.

And i call this movie: Transformers Bourne then Die Another Day and Gone in 40 seconds.

Give me Matt Damon and Bruce Willis, leave Shia Lebeof and we got a deal Hollyhack.

I've got as much right to complain about my television breaking as a person who hasn't been able to find a meal for three days does. Also, it's not really about what happened, it's more about the emotions felt by the person it happened to. Stupid example I used, but it doesn't matter.

Once again the point has been lost on NG users. I didn't say that a person shouldn't feel bad when they lose something just because someone else has less. They just shouldn't complain about it and be a brat like it's the worst thing in the world that could ever happen to them, and the universe is cruel and unjust for ruining their life over one thing that's tiny in comparison to so much others.

i'm not saying i wouldn't be devastated if my computer got taken away. But thats as far as my "spoiled" instinct would go. People think i'm spoiled and i'm really not. I never ask for anything. Even things i NEED. Like shampoo, deoderant. I save up for that stuff with the money my dad gives me a day. I feel like i have no right to ask him for things when it's up to me to save up. I end up getting a shit load of things because they are given to me. But when it comes to the things that i need immediately, clothes, food, hair things, i take the money i save away and buy them myself.

I understand you can get depressed because you feel like your parents don't care now and again. But for godsakes to complain about it to people more than once a MONTH is fucking obnoxious. If you have a roof over your head and three meals a day you don't get to complain and cry.

Goddamn i hate people. "OH MY GOD MY MOM TOOK AWAY MY XBOX AND IS MAKING ME SLEEP EARLY MY LIFE IS HARD!"

you know what a hard fucking life is? a haitian boy i knew went on a raft from haiti to miami to try and find work to help his sick grandma and his little brother, no one's heard from him in over a month. That's a tough fucking life. Getting your ass raped as a child forced in to prostitution...that's a tough fucking life. Your parents yell at you and not your sister? Charles Manson didn't get that privledge he was sold for a bottle of beer as a baby. Maybe if he was yelled at he wouldn't have been such a psycho.

My sister had a wedding and she insisted on having ice cream cake. Everyone said that it was inappropriate and kinda silly to have ice cream cake as a wedding cake. I didn't think so, it was a great idea to me. Then when it came time for the groom to feed the bride cake she got brain freeze..that's why you don't eat ice cream cake at weddings. But i don't care though...i'm still doing it...anyone else?
