I wouldn't say he is worse than a murderer.

That's what i'm meaning. The guy was looking at child porn and got sentenced for 200 years; worse than if he'd murdered someone. Pretty much everyones replied with the hysteria I was talking about.

He has made some good movies yeah. I'm not saying it was a shit film, I just think his style of acting is fucking bland. It's not so much an argument, I just wanted to know what popular opinion was.

At 2/28/07 01:25 PM, Shuko wrote: If you're going to crack on Cage for being "unexpressive," you need to crack on Steven Seagal too. And Clint Eastwood. And while you're at it, crack on fuggin' BRUCE WILLIS.

Nicholas Cage is not an action hero. Which is what makes Con Air fuckin hilarious. (like the bit where he gets shot in the arm and just ignores it all the while staring the guy down :)

Seagal, Eastwood and Willis are very much typecast, Cage plays a variety of roles with the same performance. IMHO

I got a copy of GamesTM where they're talking about companies and people in the games industry to look out for during 2007. There was a little thing about Tom and he wrote some stuff about Alien Hominid and someone else I think. Didn't mention NG though :D

Your rant is completely unjustified

...yes i have.

He shows emotion in all of the films and he does it well, because he doesnt overcomplicate it
He is a very subtle actor and a very good one at that

"Subtle" is one way of spinning it.

He always seems so distant and removed from the situation that it's really to connect or associate with whatever's happening with his character. You can tell how he's going to act in any one scene after he says the first line. It's all woodeny stickyblabla like Dr Cox in scrubs (who out acted Cage in The Rock btw )

Nicholas Cage Posted February 28th, 2007 in General

is the worst fucking actor i've seen recently. He has no fucking emotion in any of his films. Fuck, his face barely moves no matter what circumstance (someone could make a ytmnd out of that).

He's really shit at his parts, like in The Rock where he's supposed to play a chemical geek but comes off as a smarmy dinner guest or something. Face Off where he's supposed to play a psycho criminal but comes off as a smarmy dinner guest. And National Tresure where he FUCKING SUCKED.

Is ghost rider out in america? I saw the trailer for it last night and it set me off. Even his fucking voice is a fucking drivel

"well.. yahh but, gee, don'tyathink?"
Response to: Criminal Advice Posted February 27th, 2007 in General

marks made by fingerprints can be easily removed with most oils, it is impossible to obtain a fingerprint from a greasy substance.

polygraphs (lie detectors) are primarily used to make the subject nervous, this makes it easier for authorities to interrogate.

Response to: Best Beer? Posted February 27th, 2007 in General

Becks. German beer is much higher quality than most domestic shit. They have a tight law about what ingredients can be put into beer. Tastes so much better and doesn't give you as much of a shitty hangover. (I know the bullshit theory why but noone cares)

ALTHO if you're going to a party noone gives a fuck what theyre drinking. Get something strong and cheap. Stella artois would be quality if you can get it but i dunno about american beers. Other than miller tastes like piss.

pedophilia vs murder Posted February 27th, 2007 in Politics

Pedophiles are one of the most hated criminals in modern times (and they deserve it tbh), but does it warrant worse punishment than murder?

linkage

In this example, of course the fucker deserves to rot in a prison, but a 200 year sentence is just ridiculous. IMO the modern hysteria over this has permeated so far into the public unconscious that such an event can be supported in a courtroom.

"OMG FUCKEN PEDOFILE BURN!!!!PRISONFOR A GAJILLION YEARS K?!!"

They should be sentenced reasonably, with respect to the law. In any circumstance, a 200 year imprisonment is just fucking ludicrous. It's like a bullshit scientology concept.

I believe that murder is a lot worse, should have more negative connotations and in an objective sense carry a harsher punishment/stigma than paedophilism.

So what is NG's opinion on this
