That scene made me laugh. Other than that, the show is bad. The original episodes were so much better, and it's obvious the writers just don't give a shit anymore.

Try using a gray color, with about 50% alpha. Then just draw the smoke rising up frame by frame. Is this the effect you were going for?

If you want to import a youtube video, you can just imbed one with action script. This way you're not blowing up the memory of your flash. Just google, "embed youtube in flash" and I'm sure you'll find helpful results.
