It would be difficult to survive. I can only imagine high precision missiles slamming incoming enemy cargo helicopters, fighter planes zipping and burning up at super sonic speeds, on an infantry level grenade launchers exploit every form of cover. Heavy artillery would obliterate everything on the ground, railgun-armed battleships and cruisers would blast each other down into davey jones locker. UAV's would dogfight each other, satellites would be hit by high altitude missiles and crash in metallic flames, air strikes would dismantle civilian populations, heavily armored and mobile MBT's would pound sky scrapers into dust and wire.
Or they could just use.. y'know... nukes?
ICBMs flying everywhere, mushroom clouds dominating the skyline, civilization being broken down within hours of the initial blasts, intense radiation killing off 30% of the population, starvation, disease and murders killing off another 30% and eventually nuclear winter killing off another 30% of the population. Remaining 10% devolves into a species of cavemen that only understands basic electricity and only uses a basic version of their language due to a lack of education, intense trauma and brain damage. Eventually they die out through fighting and natural disasters, and a few million years later after the shit we left behind is in the soil evolution starts again with insect species to dominate. Think dinosaurs only with compound eyes and antennas.
