Trans fat is listed in the nutrition facts, so if you are worried about it, try to avoid products with it in it, like you have done. Perhaps some more education about it should take place in health classes.
First trans fat may be listed as 0 grams if a serving contains less than .5 grams. This leads to the other problem, if people don't know what trans fat really is (shortening, margarine, hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils) then they think the product has no trans fat because it is listed as 0 grams per serving. Also, how will our government agree aggressively teach the negative effects of trans fat if they are aided by the very corporations that use trans fat.
Should it be banned? I'd say no.
I disagree. I believe in an eventual ban of trans fat.
Before i begin this discussion i would like to make it clear that my argument it directed towards the harmful hydrogenated vegetable and animal oils, not the naturally occurring trans fat.
I post this in politics, because i do find this issue to be particularly controversial and with two opposing sides. On one side, big business and its contributors find the use of hydrogenated oils to be significantly cheaper to use than real vegetable or animal oils. The opposing, argues that the health of the unknowing consumer is at stake due to the possible health risks. Like in almost every debate there is neutral side to this as well, but it is only present due to the virgin minds of the unknowing public. Knowing what trans fat it and its proven health effects, but you, "don't care what you eat", isn't neutral due to the fact that you are knowingly buying into cheap big business practices(as stated in paragraph two, sentence two).
I am eager to hear your responses because i have vanquished artificial trans fat from my diet for over three years now.

There are other individual reasons for marijuana having negative health effects, but i mentioned that i would leave those out, because the individual hardly has any significance to me. Lets drop this section of the argument.
but do not understate the effect of secondhand smoke. Is not smoking around people who don't easy, can you tell who smokes and who doesn't when they are not smoking,Not but you leave when they start smoking.
Now you prove the selfishness of smoking. If you do not understand let me elaborate. Nearly every morning i drive to school and on my way from the parking lot kids decide to smoke on the only pathway to the school building. I cannot simply move. If you are going to respond, don't reply with a farfetched or poorly thought solution(such as riding the bus to school, holding my breath, or some absurd idea such as spraying them with a garden hose) these only add to the fact the smoking is selfish due to the fact that you are harming or intensifying the lives of others.
To aninjaman: Secondhand smoke was not the only damaging effect i presented in my argument, but do not understate the effect of secondhand smoke. Is not smoking around people who don't easy, can you tell who smokes and who doesn't when they are not smoking, and is that a reasonable solution to the problem?
For those people who do smoke marijuana, brace your selfs for a deep discussion. Is it acceptable that all drug abusers (marijuana, cigarettes, alcohol etc.) are selfish due to the fact that they endanger the lives of others? All negativity impacting drugs have negative side effects, now that's common sense. I will not get into the discussion of how using a drug impacts an individual, but rather the majority. Secondhand smoke is a negative side effect of smoking (all types of smoking in general) and handicaps the innocent, especially if they are young. Abuse of alcohol leads to drunk driving, fights, poverty etc. once again putting the innocent into harm's way. It is true that the legalization of marijuana will bring in much needed tax dollars, but one may argue that the harm caused by getting high on weed flushes more tax dollars down the drain due to the fixation of the damage caused by the accidents it creates (automobile collisions, medical treatment, pollution). I believe that marijuana should not be legalized, because it inadvertently puts myself and other innocents at a greater risk of being harmed.
The conscience is a powerful human tool. It explains to us when we commit pious or vile acts, when we have tried our best or have failed to try at all, and when we fail to distinguish between moral opposites, our conscience begins to question. Injecting the concept of faith into the conscience asks the question, does faith exist and why do I need faith? Instead of asking why you need faith or if it is real ask yourself another question, what is faith's purpose and what is my purpose? If your purpose is rebellious and radical, you will neglect or question faith. If you push yourself to be a obedient and conservative person, religious faith will likely be your guide. Neither is good nor evil, but hate lurks within each shade of life. In order to avoid hate you must acknowledge both atheism and religion with respect. There is a middle. Belief in anything that is not explained by logic acquires you faith. Questioning the illogical beliefs of other grants you reasoning. Faith and reasoning together form a even greater luxury, wisdom. Now ask yourself the question concerning faith's existence, does it matter? As long as you believe in something, real or not, you have faith in an idea. Faith is everywhere, in everyone, but it is not scientifically explained. Don't try denying faith, your conscience wont lie and wisdom will depart from you. I believe in an almighty God and Heaven be thy name.
n64 kid do you really consider yourself an american? would an American trash his/her own country i think not. and no i am not a religious freak i have resort to your way of logic in order to communicate with you. but hey i can see your one of those guys who just doesnt care about anything so i wont bother.
Ok you don't believe that global warming is real, fine lets just say that Jesus is very angry at the world, especially at you. I hope you are not an American because if you are destroying our country in any shape way or form you are a terrorist.
What do you put first, the environment or your own personal gain? I want to see how many people actually care about the environment and how willing are they to restore it.
I'm not just talking about global warming, but wildlife and human living conditions. Would you be willing to give up plastic bags in order to create less landfill, they have already done it in European countries such as Ireland. Would you be willing to not litter in order make America and the world a better place for us to live? Though for us the hardest issue for us to adapt to is global warming. It is called "global" for a reason and when something is global you know it is a serious issue. I think the only reason all of us don't accept global warming is because we are scared to and when people are frightened they either run or unite and fight the enemy with every last breath. Even if global warming wasn't real, if we made an effort to reduce carbon dioxide emissions our world would still be a much cleaner place.
Don't just leave a reply, take action and commit to something that is beneficial to your country and to the world. Remember being a patriot you must fight for your country's well-being, why don't we fight our third world war...pollution.
Right now the issue that Americans worry most about is the economy. We lose money gathering the copper and zinc used to make a penny and even more processing them. It is economically unwise to make pennies and distribute them. The gas issue can be easily solved when gas becomes unpopular and inferior to hydrogen power or electric. For you die hard conservatives out there remember your tax dollars are used to make more money, that includes pennies. So think of getting rid of the penny as a tax cut, you simple-minded buffoons.

whats wrong with paintball in newgrounds?
oh but do you play alot and consider yourself good?
What paintball company do you think makes the best guns and why do you think so? What style of paintball is your favorite (e.g. bunker, forest, field etc.) and what is your style of shooting (e.g. sniping, rushing, shooting as many balls as you can) Also do you prefer automatic guns or semi-automatic?
Personally i prefer Tippmann specifically the 98 custom, because i love wooded paintball. I just ordered a sweet 20-inch sniper barrel (cuse i love to snipe :D) and i hope it will fit my gun.
i would like to just give every one a heads up that the approval rating of george is down to 27%. Meaning of 27% of the country likes what he is doing. On another note saying that Clintons time was disasterous is simply not true. Did the NAFTA mean anything? So those republicans that think democrats can't take away certain taxes are wrong. Also a correction on our deficiet. Its not 800b illion its almost 8 trillion since the president sent us out into war and making heavy tax cuts (and of coarse katrina). When katrina hit the president completly ignored its presense and left thousands stranded. Our president's stupidity can not even slightly compare with his ignorance.
all we can do is wait. even if democrats do good in the house, republicans still wont appreciate this. i can tell u guys one thing though, democrats will really crack down this time and get the job done, not letting any criticism block thier goal. republicans had control of the house since 1994, now its time to see what the democrats can do...
must everything these days go unatural? using pestacides in farming, preservatives in our food (both rapidly increase the risk of breast cancer.), and now u want to bann breast feeding? thats ridiculous... whats wrong with a baby sucking on her moms nipple. im going to make this very simple. if you ban breast feeding you are violating the 1st admendment and that has much more serious charges that ur measly $500 fine of a poor young baby that doesnt even know what it did wrong. society these days, it can make you cry...
this topic shouldnt even be disscused. its not some one elses choice for some one else 2 have an abortion. almost every believes that abortion is a last resort method to prevent pain and misery into some persons life. u can't just say "i dont care what the situation is, its still wrong and its murder." that is a perfect example of ignorance. put yourself into the situation of having an abortion. what if u had a daughter and she got raped, would you make her have the baby even though it wasnt her fault? or would you care about the mental and physical health of your daughter and let her make the decision.
i would say, on the adverage of christians in the south, yes they are mostly like that. some of them aren't like that.
yeah peenies don't really help. although alot of the $2.99 idems will have 2 change since no more pennies. also pennies will b like a treasure in the future so even though the could be discontinuied, they will still be remebered.
