Simple plan would have to be one of the worst bands around. They are rich kids complaining about how bad and tough their lives are and that their parents are unfair to them. They claim to be 'punks'. A really good band is My chemical romance. They sound good, they are not emos, goths etc. They are not posers. They are just there to make good music, though it is a shame they have not had sucess on the charts.
