And gum, I'd like to laugh myself, because no one believed me when I pointed out that pro-lifers often splinter when it comes to stuff like abortions in the case of rape or incest. Everyone claimed the sky was falling.

But then again, how often do people listen to actual facts?

Response to: Condom or Pull-Out? Posted August 12th, 2009 in General

The typical failure rate of the "pull out" method is 19.% Hope you folks have fun paying child support.

The failure rate for couples that use this method correctly is 4%, but that's way too high a risk if you're really not okay with getting pregnant. Not only that, the general age group that frequents NG has no idea how to control their orgasms, so they wouldn't be able to use it correctly anyways. That, and the whole thing with pre-cum that's already been mentioned.

During the baby boom of the '40s and '50s, the pull out method was the main method of birth control. You see how well that worked...

Response to: Who decided to put chili on Hotdogs Posted August 12th, 2009 in General

I can't eat hotdogs. I liked them as a kid, but once I turned 13, for whatever reason, they began making me sick.

Whoever came up with the chili cheeseburger is a genius though.

Response to: Does Anybody Still Care About Nasa? Posted August 12th, 2009 in General

I went to the Kennedy Space Center two weeks ago while I was on a trip down there. NASA is still doing a lot of stuff. How do you think the satellites we use to power GPS systems got up there? Or TV satellites? Those things don't launch themselves.

You're right, they want to retire the shuttles, though Atlantis will be going up either August 16th or 18th--can't remember the exact date. They want to go back to single-use rockets like they did with the first space missions.

Up until she was laid off, a friend of mine, who is an astronomy grad student, worked for NASA. According to her, they're interested in exploring other planets because of the possibility of mining ores we can use down here.

Response to: Do you believe in the death panels? Posted August 12th, 2009 in Politics

I had to laugh when I read in the paper how Palin's "death panel" idea is so fucking crazy even the GOP wouldn't touch it.

Of course, a lot of Congressional holdouts from the Bush years were the same ones that flew in overnight to sign a bill to keep Terri Schaivo alive, but dragged their feet after Katrina--both Democrats and Republicans. So as long as this sort of thing allows me or my parents to decide if/when to pull the plug and not the government, then I'm fine with it.

I heard back from the apartment complex. Some stuff will be finished soon, so I'm gonna go on Thursday to look at some one-bedrooms. I can move September 25th.

I'll write out a check and fill out an application, so I guess I'm guaranteed a spot, but I'm nervous about the process for whatever reason. I was a good tenant and always paid the rent on time, but something bothers me.

No, I've seen them in the store with the rest of the condoms.

Response to: Brits Use Sheepskin Condoms, Lawl Posted August 10th, 2009 in General

From what I heard, they're porous, so they're godawful at preventing pregnancy, but good if someone has an STD. Apparently the HIV virus is too big to get through the pores.

But I heard that years ago and don't remember where, so who knows if it's true.

I'm 26. My boyfriend is 34. One of my friends gives me a hard time sometimes about it, but I don't see the big deal. We're both legal.

I've always liked older men anyways. They're generally more stable, more mature, and free of drama. That and I find the whole older thing attractive somehow.

It wasn't mating my friend had a problem with...it was that her mom and brother wouldn't stop buying birds. Of course, stuff happened, like the birds dying of old age. I'm surprised only one flew out the window. It was a green bird and flew into trees, so they never found it.

Now she's only down to one bird. Her mom died two years ago and her brother moved out, so now it's just the bird, two dogs, and a kitten. She is thinking about buying more birds, but I hope she realizes they may be cat food. The kitten is already eying the one.

So, my boyfriend went to see G.I. Joe. He said it's like watching someone else play with your toys, but overall, it was a decent way to kill a couple hours.

Whenever I think of G.I. Joe, I always think of the AWOL one my cousin gave his brother when he was little. The younger brother opened his present to find an empty G.I. Joe box. He asked his older brother where G.I. Joe was and the reply was "He's AWOL."

I went to Catholic school for the first five years of school and kindergarten. My situation was like yours, except the teachers hated me too, labeled me a bad kid, and came up with excuses to get me in trouble.

When I entered public school, I was in the sixth grade. Damn, what a culture shock. I noticed that people there aren't as close knit, meaning they won't be breathing down your neck all the time. Granted, some people will spy/tattle on you, but not to the extent they do in Catholic school. That, and no uniforms.

Sounds like the power got to the guy's head. I've seen far worse things in fast food joints than a baby without shoes on. I do agree there should be some sort of foot covering though--babies can get cold easily. But if the kid wasn't walking, then who cares?

Also...why didn't she use the drive-thru?

You know you fap to those pics once they got sent to your phone. Her downfall is that her boyfriends happen to be assholes and "leak" the pics online... She's not a slut, just really unfortunate.

My boyfriend and I don't do that and we're above the age of majority. It's called modesty, something she needs to learn. Because she's wrecking any chances of a lifelong career.

Seriously, though, it is retarded of her because 1) pics got leaked already and 2) if you're famous, they WILL get leaked somehow. Always happens.

Response to: Don't take sleeping pills. Posted August 6th, 2009 in General

This is why doctors normally put you at the lowest dose possible first. Not sure what happened in your case.

If you want something natural, try melatonin. It comes anywhere from 1-6 mg. You can cut the pills or whatever if you need to. If you use it, make sure it's pure melatonin and not one of those health blends with other stuff such as valerian root or whatever because blends can fuck with your insides. Start with the lowest dose and then you can adjust it if you need to. You can get it in any pharmacy.

I like being an adult. Sure, there's responsibilities like bills, but I think there's more fun things to do as an adult. You know, like vacations, booze, and porn.

There's work, but it's just a replacement of school and you get money for going, and also, you can go to the bathroom without having to ask.

Of course there's always going to be some sort of emotional trouble at times, but being out of the angsty teen phase will cut a lot of it out.
