K =P

btw, I offered ad rev because people always ask what they get in return, or they USUALLY do...

Response to: Looking for voice actor Posted December 6th, 2008 in Game Development

No need to play the girl =P

Just any role you feel you want to play.

And to be honest if you just read the lines I'd be fine....

Response to: Looking for voice actor Posted December 6th, 2008 in Game Development

If you read those lines and made up a phony address to go with your revisions then I'm giving you 50% of whatever ad rev I get and credits as a script writer AND voice actor.

Also, I should care about quality but I dont seeing as it is my first flash (even though I am working on a side project until I get the VAs...)

Looking for voice actor Posted December 6th, 2008 in Game Development

I need a voice for a 911 operator, a man, a gang member, and a girl.

All I NEED (as in all I really need to finish the flash) is the man and a girl. The 911 operator and gang member are both expendable.

Anything in () is a sound effect caused by that character and is already put in the flash.

LINES:

Conversation 1 (Between: Girl; Gang Member)
1. Girl: (SCREAM)
2. Gang Member: (GUN SHOT) (PUNCH) (PUNCH)
3. Girl: "Someone help!"
4. Gang Member: "Shut up!"
5. Girl: "HELP!"

Conversation 2 (Between: Man; 911 Operator)
1. 911 Operator: "911, do you have something to report?"
2. Man: "I hear shooting and screams, as well as someone being attacked going on outside my house."
3. 911 Operator: "A unit has been dispatched, do you have any other information that could help us?"
4. Man: "No I'm sorry..."

This is my first flash but I plan to work hard on this to make it better than any other first flash (or most) on Newgrounds.

I originally only did crappy games that sucked beyond all recognition and you may know me for those, but I promise this will be quite a few steps up from them.

This is also extremely experimental, so don't expect it to be groundbreaking...

k, if I posted this in the wrong section, please feel free to flame me but at least give me the link to the correct forum/thread.

Thank you,
Rux

Response to: Fawx's Bday Bash(A collab) Posted December 5th, 2008 in Game Development

Alec, raise your BA to 3.00. That is (or at least was) the rule for collabs.

If it isnt 3.00 you can't organize a collab on the official NG site.

I would, but the engine has very minimal pictures so it looks very unappealing at this time.

HP problem. Posted December 5th, 2008 in Game Development

So I basically need a code that will make my character go to his death frame when his HP hits 0... so I thought it would be as easy as it sounds and so I went and tried

onClipEvent (enterFrame) {
	if (health=0) {
		_root.player.gotoAndStop(2);
	}
}

But it seems to stay on the first frame no matter what.

If you need more code snippets or something, just ask for em here.

Thats right, 55% of the ad and other revenue will be given to YOU if you can design the artwork for the game.

The game will be a shooter/platformer :)

How to apply:

Make a soldier movie clip (any nationality, can be US, terrorist, Axis, anything from any time)

Frame 1: He will be standing
Frame 2: He will be running
Frame 3: He will be jumping

The frame speed is 24.

We can discuss more if I find your artwork suitable.

My Rpg (w.i.p.) Posted December 3rd, 2008 in Game Development

This is pretty basic so far, I plan to make it harder as well as add attacking, naming, a cool menu (I'll need an artist probably, I suck at art as you may have noticed), and just about anything else. I have 7 frames as most of my work was done with movie clips, but I do think it will be around 100 frames or so.

Currently I've worked on this project ABOUT 10 hours (not all at once).

I expect a total of about 3 days (72 hours) of work to be put into this one, much better than my screamer platformer I recently did for funzies :P

Me too. I definitely will need one soon.

Also, I added health and damage. You have 10 HP and the monsters attack you every few seconds or so (plenty of time to kill them though) and at the end of each boss you get to heal. After each boss you get 10 more HP and you get fully healed.

Should be pretty interesting to see how people like the finished version.

At 11/24/08 11:53 PM, xxflareknightxx wrote: A few things, there is no challenge. You can't get hurt or anything. Second, 35%??!?!?! This seems like quite an easy engine to make. Nobody will do the art for that much money. Its the truth. It usually is 50/50, unless it is a really hard game to code.

Its 35 because thats for ONE background, not for all the art. I'd make it 50/50 if I was asking for all or most of the artwork, but I'm not.

If someone is willing to do art for me then I will give them what they deserve (35% is merely the minimum).

Now as for the no challenge part, did you not see me say how I'm not near finishing? I have 3 enemies, so I'm not gonna worry about health until I get at least 10.

Response to: Is my FPS good (so far) Posted November 24th, 2008 in Game Development

ALSO!
I need an artist or I need someone good at photography to get a scary background pic. You will get 35% of the ad revenue and credits.

Is my FPS good (so far) Posted November 24th, 2008 in Game Development

There will be 15 levels, every 2 levels (meaning 1 level, another level, then on the THIRD level) there is a boss battle, the demo includes only the first boss and his two runner up monsters. (Go to my profile for the full story on how long its been worked on so far and a little more info)

Newgrounds Sim V 1.2 / Achievements Posted November 22nd, 2008 in General

Post any and all of your achievements in NGSIM by Afro-Ninja. Try not to post cheated stuff (Wheres the fun in that? It isn't really much of an achievement now is it?). When posting an achievement related to awards in Flash, make sure to mention what type of flash project it is!

SpriteWorld (Sprite Movie), Daily Feature

SpriteWorld: The Game (Game), Daily Feature + Weekly Users' Choice

The Flood (Ground Breaker), Daily Feature + Weekly Users' Choice + Review Crew Pick

I was shocked when SpriteWorld got a Daily Feature lol, I'd never seen it before!

BTW, your title seems to effect your rating (or thats how it works for me, if the title is good, the rank and awards are ampler)

I found a stolen submission Posted November 14th, 2008 in General

This kid has no talent, and found a game by a guy named Nowe Reginald, claiming it was his fathers work when he started flash. Though this is one of Nowe's climatical flashes (during the middle of his flash career where we did the best).

Nowe made v1, v2, and v3. Each can be found by searching Super Mario Flash World on google.

Here is the thief, his first submission is almost perfect... WTF!?!?!?! I doubt it...

If anyone thinks Nowe is his father, I'll laugh at you til I fall off my seat... he makes it seem like his dad made this game before the kid was born, Nowe didn't make this 15+ years ago...

Y'know what, just ban the kid please, and remove the flash.

It's a shame that he has to plagiarize to get good ratings...

Where... Posted November 14th, 2008 in Game Development

Where do I ask for an artist to help me with a game?

Is there a topic or section?

If so, could someone please supply me with a link?
