Fight through the boring parts of animating. Once you do this it will be easy to animate.

Thankyou, but that was not what I was asking. :P

Willing to spare some of your creativity?
(In other words, give me things to animate about, or talk amongst yourselves towards ideas)

I havent animated in over 2 weeks. Do animators get rusty? Because I have been getting worse at animating each time I take a break.

Personally, I don't know anyone who does use it. I am sure there are some people who have mastered using the tool to their advantage.

I just can't find any use for it.

I use the bone tool for trees :P

At 38 minutes ago, Croire wrote: Okay I HAVE to be doing something insanely wrong here. So I'm onto the coloring stage of my animation and I'm having to go frame by frame refilling and coloring for every new frame and this is driving me nuts. There HAS to be a way to like make another layer on top and fill in color for a given number of frames right??? This is really getting tedious

I havent heard of a way to do that in Flash but

No, not at all, no, not unless the frames were inconstant but if they were you'd be better off just replacing them.

http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/413118 I think, looking at the Link one especially, this will be very relevant to you, as you've got frames that are so out of line with the rest sometimes. It's all in the meticulous planning, really.

Good suggestion Otto, that vid will help him alot. Finally someone who has answered his question. His soul may now rest in peace.

I was just checking out the Calendar. . . it is a great feature, but I personally find it hard to focus on & read. My opinion:
-Increase the size of the day #, it just seems too small for a calendar
-Darken days with no events, that would possibly , and maybe gray-out boxes from the previous/next month

Just an idea :3

That is a good idea, but a way of making the #'s bigger is to add them to the backgrounds. That would simplify things, and add more space fro the event

Cool, I have been with Flash for 30 days, but being the scholar that I am, I don't have time to do much practice. I learned alot the past month, but not as much as I would have wanted.

Also does anyone know why it keeps showing part of the animation that wasn't on the stage? It's pretty annoying.

And for anyone confused, it's someone trying to think of something to say, but ultimately finding himself speechless.

Any criticism is appreciated.

I know it is tedious, but try to draw more frames in between the movement and configuration.
