that's a real shame, even moreso because best present ever would have won a top 5 spot if it weren't for two (actually 3) half-assed video game related garbage pieces

considering that you made a name for yourself insulting other NG'ers work I dont think you did,
but fine, for the benefit of doubt, ill take just as the way you stated above.

whats with the emo trip here? No one was shooting down your idea, just how you presented it.
but since you insist you weren't being a douchebag, then fine I apologize. lets move on.

And if you want to give me a bad name, at least do it behind my back.
not my style, its in your face or not at all.

Yeah I understand that. I apologize, too. It all probably came off wrong. It's so much harder to communicate on a forum than in real life, lmao. I would never be outright rude to someone off the bat, especially someone I know and respect as an animator like yourself.

And lord knows if you give newgrounds members a serious topic they usually turn it into a complete joke. Then again, most serious animations make me laugh on this site.

now who's the presumptuous one?

any extra money the writers make will go back into the union, thought that was obvious enough.

The producers obviously did, they've been taking pennies out of tickets for years to pay for this because they knew it was going to happen. It's ridiculous how much more money the CEO's make compared to all of those people on strike combined. I think they're striking for a good cause against a corrupt industry. If somebody does a big parody of it all, it should be in support of the strike.
then whatever dude, do it, and quit yer bitchin.
Making a serious flash if you want to, but dont try and demean NG , if they find it boring.

Your remarks on how beneath us all of us are to your vision, is quit frankly getting tiresome.

Christ man why the cold shoulder all of the sudden? You're turning molehill into a mountain. I was not insulting all of newgrounds when I said that. What I meant is that a newgrounds animator is typically really good at taking something that is meant to be serious and turning it into a joke. What that means is that they can take something sad or serious and make it funny. I have done that in several of my cartoons. How on earth is that insulting? It's just another writing tactic, and it takes just as much skill as the next one.

Stop trying to twist my words and make it sound like I'm trying to put down all of you. It was just a god damn idea, and I don't know why you're acting this way towards me. Sorry for ever bothering to reply. I'll be sure to never put in my input on a collab idea again, for your sake.

And if you want to give me a bad name, at least do it behind my back.

I brushed off you're Idea because you presented with nothing but insults to Newgrounds and its community. There's nothing presumptuous about your tired insults. btw the emo collab just was my remark torwards the idea a supers erious cartoon and wasn't directed at you in general, you need to quit being so sensitive.

um, how was the original idea an insult to newgrounds? there are plenty of people here who do serious work. and you were replying to me when you said it, so it kind of looked like you were talking, well, to me.

Anyways, yes an Idea of making a serious flash might work, but in the end, no one cares about some union trying to milk the system, and if you want to inform people, making fun and entertaining content is the best way to do it.

that's...interesting. i never thought the strike was funny so that didn't cross my mind.

you mean like we have been doing for the last 4 or more years?

the entertainment of recent years has been predictable and stale.
which is why newgrounds and other online communities have come to become places with fresh content.
We've had no choice but to entertain ourselves, I'd believe this flash needs to be above all entertaining and fun, as well as informative. No one wants to see some serious, emo collab based on crybaby writers who have put themselves in there own situation.

I say let them strike, maybe the poverty will get their creative juices flowing
you're misinterpreting my idea. i shouldn't even bother explaining it as these are the responses i'd expect to hear.
wow didn't realize how full of yourself you've become. my bad for questioning you.

how presumptuous of you. i haven't "become" anything, you hardly even know me. i was just a little upset someone brushed off my idea as a worthless "emo" cartoon. what's the big deal?

and I think you misinterpreting Toms proposal, in the end of it all he and anyone else involved wants to have fun, and make fun of the situation. because no one is here to help change the world. Just laugh at it.
so yeah a good dick Joke is perfect idea for this situation. that or making video game parody flashs that parody flashers that make video game parodys. In the in its what ever makes your dick wet that matters.

that's...interesting. i never thought the strike was funny so that didn't cross my mind.

i know that cartoons have been in the dumps in the writing department the last few years. what i meant was a visual representation of empty characters in an empty world where nothing changes. but whatever, we can turn it into a huge dick joke. i'm sure the industry would respond to that in a positive way.

Why does it have to be fun? It should be stern and controversial. If you turn it into something humorous no one's going to take it seriously. And lord knows if you give newgrounds members a serious topic they usually turn it into a complete joke. Then again, most serious animations make me laugh on this site. Anyway, something that really puts a strong message out there. Maybe make a cartoon about what a cartoon would be like without writers. Not like a narrative documentary but an actual cartoon with the animator's vision being literally a cartoon that was made devoid of a screenplay or anything. If it was played out right , with the message attached , it could be very powerful.

you should too
and if you can't take one moment out of your schedule to stop and say congratulations to him for being here on this earth , then you need to look deep inside you and i think you will find that there is a hole where your heart should be
but enough sorrowful talk, let the celebrations begin!
we'll make this a party he'll never forget B)

I have no complaints thus far. I'm really impressed with the work done here. I would like to note that a lot of users have been reviewing 0/10 on accident because an unselected star is invisible, thus they forget they can give it a review score and end up submitting it 0/10 by accident.

I think that a good way to solve this would be to
1. make the unselected stars grayed out instead of invisible
2. have a review's score set to be null/10 , forcing people to choose a ranking score before they submit their review, instead of the default being set at 0.

Not to mention that since most of the new Transformers stuff (such as Energon, Cybertron and the movie) is done in 3D, it's technically all tweens anyway.

wrong.

lazy 3d animators do rely on the software to do all the work for them (like you), but good 3d animators do exactly what 2d (or what some call "frame-by-frame") animators do. pose-to-pose hand tweaked on 16's or 8's, then they break it down until it's all on 1's or 2's. Films like Ratatouille or Transformers - the one you mentioned - are completely void of "tweens".
