Don't get me started on video games; I'll kick your ass in a debate over them.
No you won't/didn't.
You counted Hots Shots Golf 5 and Sing Star as huge names which is not credible. Counting those, I guess we can all count Bejeweled 3 for the 360...
Seriously, for the 360 you forgot to mention Age of Conan and Banjo Kazooie.
The Live vs Home argument is moot beyond belief. Home isn't even out yet and Live's online function, though $50 a year, is stellar. Usually any lag you ind is the coding form the game, not Live's problem. Gears of War runs nearly flawless and just LOOK at that game.
Also, you can tell how a system's going by watching publishers. The PS3 has lots quite a few big-name exclusive games to now share with the 360 which does not bode well.
PS3 is more expensive, games are the SAME price and many Microsoft games for the 360 are also $50 upon release just like SOME PS3 games are. For the most part, both have $60 games as a standard price.
Then the 360 has Arcade which is full of games. "Castle Crashers" is another 360 exclusive. Not sure if that's Arcade only or what, though. 360 also has DVD vs the Blu-ray PS3 totes to push its agenda yet again to come up with some sort of media we all have to use (beta anyone?). That was my #1 reason to not get a PS3.
To clear things up, I had a Gamecube, XBOX and PS2. When this gen came I had to make had decision. I took a lot into account and the fact is, the XBOX near the end really put it to the PS2 and all my PS2 did was gather dust. I COULD have gotten games for it, but why? I had everything I needed for XBOX.
The same trend continues.
Honestly, both systems have their merits as does the Wii.
The Wii is by for the most intuitive system and most fun to play. It does not, however, have the best games. The best games go to the 360 by leaps and bounds. Halo 3 (yes, Halo 3), Gears of War, and Bioshock are all Game of the Year contenders and all ONLY on the 360. No tto mention often when the same game is on both consoles you see the reference by gaming sites/magazines that the 360 version runs smoother.
Know why? Sony had to change the chip they were going to use last-minute. Remember that delay it ran into? Yeah.
The only reason to go PS3 is if you want a Blu-ray player. It's the cheapest way to get one.
Like Cole said, if you are super-casual, want a party platform. or don't care about online (because online is NOT user-friendly on this system) get the Wii.
But if you are a gamer not clinging to a brand "just 'cause," the XBOX 360 is the better system. I mean, it's clear. I could care less who makes what. If the PS4 and XBOX 720 (or whatever they call it) come out, I'll get the PS4 if it's what I feel is better.
