Not a HUGE difference between the two in performance. Vita alone has lots of problems with lots of applications. Prepare for the BSOD.

My friend got a BRAND NEW laptop. Within an hour of having it... BSOD. THAT is pretty pathetic.

I helped him out a lot getting it up-and running, getting anti-virus and firewall, etc stuff. He's had good luck with that stuff, but he still doesn't like how Vista runs.

To tell you the truth, I have heard nothing good about Vista from Vista owners when compared to XP. XP is the better system. Why Microsoft went to an unfinished platform is pretty dumb. (Yes Vista is unfinished and faulty)

I would suggest sticking with XP. But if you don't you will probably be back.

You're also going to want to watch How to Properly Load Vista. It will save you a lot of time. Hopefully you have the special equipment this guy has to make it easy.

Yeah, clocks are unoriginal, but they are a great way to learn Flash because of their simplicity. From simplicity you'll be able to create more dynamic clocks or similar characters and grow from there.

We need a sexy header for the Elite Guard Barracks forums. We either need one of our own artists (I know we must have a few in here) to make one, or commission someone at the sig makers or wherever.

What we're looking for is something 990x100. This is very important.

It needs "Elite Guard Barracks" centered; text should be legible and clearly standing out against whatever background is included. Other than that, the artist is pretty much free to do what they want; including the Supreme Commander tank badge and Deity Whistle into the design would be a swell idea.

If anyone here is interested in giving it a go, I only ask two things:

1) Be good at drawing. Seriously, if you know you suck, don't volunteer.

2) Declare your intention to give it a go before you start, so we don't have multiple people clamoring for it. If we get more than one good design anyway, we can always alternate.

I'd prefer something in-house, but if we don't got any takers, we'll go a-hunting.

I like the way you did this a lot. The use of lines with blue and other effects to make them look like neon lights was great.

You also had some 3D effects in here that were cool and well used.

I did see in one of your 3D effects you had words moving and they skipped around. That happens when you keep it text. If you break text apart until its just fill you, can then make THAT into a movie clip and it won't skip when animated.

Anyway, great movie, fun to watch and good choice of music.

However, I can't stress enough how important it is on the NGDD Bot to have the latest post ALWAYS be the index page. So, you need to swap the two posts. Just copy/paste the index onto the bottom of the new post and save it. Then copy that stuff onto the old index page and delete that from the new index page.

THEN, add the missions to the index page.

On any Flash. But try not to do the top 50 Flash since they obviously have had tons of reviews.

My advice to you (and anyone else) is that you can be most constructive on lower-scoring Flash. So, go into the portal page and review things that have less than a 3.50 rating.

Anyway, Phantom, Cole and APF can allow people in under that new setup. I can right NOW because I'm standing in for APF. But, also Dept Heads can allow people into their own departments.
