Ah, yes. This is kind of what I was trying to get out I just couldn't word it right.
And I think calling it XP would be a cool idea since that's a lot of what NG is about, plus it's very NOT confusing.
And I think each part of NG should count separately for XP gained. Like whistles separate, reviews, BBS Posts, etc. Everyone in any department can gain XP from everything, but they would be in their department because that is what they actively DO on Newgrounds.
A rough idea I had would be:
Each month 10 pts XP added for being in NGDD. If discharged, you start over at 0. Maybe even a bonus of 20 to 50 for each year you're active.
Contest would award 1XP for participating, 2XP 3rd place, 3XP 2nd place, 5XP 1st place. Or make it slightly different per contest. Small contests, no participation XP.
Whistles: -20 Garbage, 0 normal, +5 Bronze, +10 Silver, +20 Gold, +40 Deity
BBS Posts: Each 100 posts = 10XP
Flash: I would imagine score should matter in some way here. Flash under 2.00 = 0XP. 2.00 - 2.99 = 10XP. 3.00 - 3.49 = 15XP. 3.50 - 3.99 = 25XP. 4.00 - 5.00 = 35XP, maybe even 40XP since this is somewhat tough.
Audio would be somewhat similar to Flash, but the points would be less since Audio is generally much higher in score and not many people vote on them.
Reviews should also have separate XP and I feel like I'm leaving something out but I can't think of it, but I am pretty sure this gives a rough idea.
Plus, doing it like this makes it so you can just keep going up in XP. You won't hit some cap and feel there's nothing left in the NGDD to accomplish.
Rank structure needs retooling. I think ranks should go by what order you are in the Department by XP, but for hitting XP Milestones you get another title.
Example: 2nd in the Department is Lieutenant with the restructure (JUST an example), but with 1,000XP you also get the title of "Grande". So, you would be a Grande Lieutenant if you are in 2nd command in your dept with 1,000XP.
Again, that is all rough above. It would need adjusting, I'm sure but I wanted to get it down before it slipped my mind at all.

Ok so THAT is the new amendment to RULE #4!!! It's incredibly important that you all know that. But the past 3 votes still count as yes votes, respectively.
Now that an alternative has been posted, I say that the original votes are void unless the voter re-establishes them. Do you agree? It seems only fair.
And, yes, I still agree. To greath lengths, I agree.
