Just two more parks and I'm done with the original set. Today I completed Rainbow Valley (Park value was $69,667) and all I have is Lightning Peaks and Thunder Rock. Thunder rock looks easier to me, somehow. More flat land. I think Lightning Peaks is going to be more of a roller coaster building challenge.

I'm looking at finishing Arid Hieghts next.

One more thing...

How can I get the screenshots here? Print screen doesnt work, and I have nothing to convert PCX files.

It could have been worse. Her tour bus could have hit the Jonas Brothers' bus.

Been playing a lot. Unlocked Thunder Rock today, its a bit bigger than I expected, but thats cool.
Arid Heights is at Year 4, with 1500 guests. I really want to draw this one out so I can make a park with all sorts of different rides.

Lol at that vertical coaster xD
Indeed, the Oblivion at Alton Towers is puny in comparison to it. Amazingly enough, any vertical roller coasters with a similar design to that will have an intensity rating of around 8.50 - 9.50 and not ultra extreme as I originally predicted.
That's odd. I always thought the intensity ratings had everything to do with vertical and horizontal G's and it seems your coaster must have high ratings on those.

I find that some huge roller coasters don't get really high ratings unless they have harsh turns or hills. Like, for insance, if a train goes over a 20 foot shallow hill crest at 50 MPH, it's going to be much more intense that if it was going over the top at 25 MPH.

As for RCT3, I never played it much outside of the Sandbox mode and custom scenarios. I guess I should give it another try.

I honestly like my Coca-Cola in cans, so it stays fizzy until the last sip. Strangely, I can drink warm Coke, but not flat Coke.

One of my favorites was beating the final Bowser for Super Mario 64.

Saddest: Although I can't remember any off the top of my head, I think the worst was when I lended my Pokemon Red (had already been beating yellow) to a mexican kid, and he made Zapdos faint, and then saved the game. He lost some teeth on that one.

More of a rage moment.

Rainbow Valley won't be too hard. The bad thing is, I have Ivory Towers completed and its only June, Year 2. Sucks.
As for Pacific Pyramids, I took out a huge loan and built a roller coaster all around the park... Charging $5.00 for it, I made a bundle.

A good tip is, build the one "shuttle loop" steel roller coaster. That thing is a profit machine, charge $2.00 for a ride.
The guests will pay more for rides if you let them in free.
I always research thrill rides first since they seem to make loads of money...
No ride crashes yet. Also, I got the Funtopia park done and had about $60,000 and nothing to spend it on.

I found my old Rollercoaster Tycoon disks a few weeks ago and I hooked myself. Been playing them nonstop. I think I can complete the original parks soon.
Right now I'm working on Pacific Pyramids and Arid Heights.
Do any of you remember this game?
Can't seem to get screenshots, sorry.

Posted: 08/26/09 10:57 PM

Forum: General

At 8/26/09 10:49 PM, Ronald-McDonald-LoL wrote: Toyota is a Japanese car company. I perfer American brands.

Ok, let me elaborate. Sorry for double post, I'm in a bit of a hurry.

I live in the general Detroit area, and I've seen the auto layoffs first hand and on the news, so it just makes more sense to buy a Big Three car instead of a Toyota or Honda. When we stop making cars here, the parts suppliers suffer, because they are losing business, and that means more jobs lost.

Furthermore, a lot of people see the foreign brands as having higher quality overall, and tend to associate American brands with SUVs and Hummers. This isn't always the case. In fact, a lot of American cars can compete with Honda or Toyota, but I'm not familiar with the Prius and its milage, so I can't argue here.
