Thanks. I hope to be done in the next few days!

Practice makes perfect

Thats the idea :) Thanks.

Look for every opportunity you can, but whatever you do don't wait for someone to give you something. If you have ideas make them now cause they may never be made. With art there is never any guarantee. I learned that the hard way

Yeah, I am trying to do what I can and as much as I can. But I figured even if I would fail, if I never had tried it would probably haunt me for the rest of my life.

Thank you anyway :)

Practice and learn the various techniques.
Watch lots of other cartoons and pick up on the various styles and methods.

Meanwhile, before you try anything too big, why not work somewhere else first before turning your talent into a career?

I am doing that as much as I can.
I tried a lot of things in the past already but I found that nothing could hold me. I got very "unhappy" (depressed) very fast with a lot of other stuff i did. So doing something else right now... I don't want to consider that option until I tried.

If you take your time with the final version and create some nice, clean art it will be great :)

Thanks :) I will upload the clean"er" version as soon as its finished.

Ok this is a rough I did on an idea. The "nicer version" soon finished too (about 75% done)
What do you think of the idea?

The industry and my dreams. Posted October 10th, 2014 in General

So I didn't really know where to put this thread so I put it here. Sorry if that is the wrong section.

Ok, here's the deal. I found out about NG in 2002 and ever-since I wanted to make animations. My state of mind was always "sometime in the future I will". I never thought I was good enough.

So I finally started making animations last year and I am thinking about quitting already because of the low value of animations "on the market". I am looking for alternatives to do what I really love doing or additions to that so I can make a living out of it.

I have a few people in my area that want me to make animations for them and I am fine with doing commissions and stuff - I feel it's still a good compromise but at some point I want to do my stuff, my head is full of ideas that I finally feel capable of doing, and now I feel it might fail because of the lack of finances.

I know a lot of you guys probably have the same problem. I practically just started and I don't want to see my dreams being scattered before my eyes already. Do any of you have advice for me? And if it's just working 8 hours a day I'm fine with it.

Nonetheless I will start uploading my animations to NG because that has been my dream for over 10 years. Hope to get some feedback.

Cheers!
