Oh and Happy New Year! Tom, you are doing tremendous work with NG and you have my utmost respect for have far it has gone. It is truly the best portal on the Internet.

My goals for 2009 include new Dr. Shroud episodes for NG, the unveiling of the Dr. Shroud action figure and the selling of the Dr. Shroud live action feature film. Oh, and to just be an overall better person to all.

And yes, they are all true.

What items related to a web series have you bought or would buy? Action Figure? DVD? T-Shirt? Card Game? Other?

Follow up: How would you buy it? Cash, Check, Credit?

I'm wondering how popular trading card games like Magic and Chaotic still are. How many of you play any trading card game on a regular basis? Is there an expert here on the subject?

If you're not into trading card games, what other products do you collect? Toys? Action figures? Comics? Other?

I heard from Fango TV programming and it seems that they had the highest numbers ever...possibly due to Dr. Shroud and the promotion surrounding it, the biggest being right here at Newgrounds!! Hey NewGrounders!! Rob Feldman here of the Dr. Shroud Series. This is my first front page post, so be gentle. I have some really exciting news and wanted to share it with you.

After a year of meetings and negotiations, I signed an agreement for the development of an animated Dr. Shroud series with Fangoria TV, a channel from the horror magazine of the same name. I will join their already established team of award-winning writers, directors and animators by serving as Executive Producer for the first round of episodes and will bring a new face and place to the Dr. Shroud franchise.

For those of you who are living under a rock and have not heard of Fangoria, check them out at one of the many newsstands, bookstores or cafés in the world—-it’s an age old name with new and innovative ideas (Fangoria Radio, Fangoria Comics, Fangoria TV, etc.). Dr. Shroud is in line to be one of the many exciting and scary original series on that channel. Stay tuned.

I want to thank Tom and the thousands of members on Newgrounds who supported my stuff and have made this possible. The success of Dr. Shroud thus far could NOT have been possible without the NG community. This is where it all starts---with everything by everyone.

In the meantime, this is not a goodbye in any way. I am working on a new project that I hope to set free next year right here on NG. I am sinking a lot of time into pre-production and building it bigger, better and for broadcast (higher fps, better sound, etc.), so naturally it is going to be a while before anything is viewable. While similar in tone to Dr. Shroud, it is quite different and I hope to have three episodes in the can before its official launch in Fall 2007.

In the meantime, thanks again, see you around, and be sure to check out my embarrassing dancing machine ass in this CU Comicon Wrap Up video. See you on the BBS!!

The convention would charge admission and have sponsors (Sony, Nintendo, etc.), just like a real convention. It would be four days.

Yes, it is a huge expense, but I am sure attendance would make it worth the while.

And call it what you will: a gathering, convention, whatever....

Hopefully no fights would break out, but hell, isn't that the FUN of it? Heh.

So, here's an idea I have been thinking about for a while. Occasionally, you will hear Tom meet up with people from Newgrounds at conventions or wherever and they talk about ideas and stuff happening on the site. Newgrounds is a HUGE community and it would be cool to see everyone face-to-face (or would it?).

How about if Newgrounds could have their own convention, kind of like a comic convention, but for Flash only. They could have tabales, an awards ceremony, sponsors, a film fest, etc.

Just an idea, but what do you think?
