It's about how much dedication you put into it. I mean, the people on here are most just people that wanted to do something. Some people left it at a hobby and others took it further. Some of them had their series put on DVD, just because they dedicated more than just their spare time to make them. So someone who is late into the animation scene, we'll say 17, decides he wants to be an animator. Turns out that he could take a two year course and possibly get picked up by someone because he wanted to learn something new. Of course, depending on your financial situation, most people couldn't afford to do something like that.

Hell, my brother got a full four scholarship because he liked to play with cars and was in an engineering class in high school.

I got a new job yesterday anyway. I make more than enough to pay for a year in 3 hours of work. So uh, I guess it makes no difference to me.

This is the only argument ever needed. Halo wasn't generic, other games that took the ideas that Halo evolved on and used them. After the ideas where used so many times, it became the trend. As soon as the trend started, it became generic. Now, I won't say that Halo didn't use ideas from other FPS's but atleast it went an extra step and added to them. Sure, it didn't revolutionize gaming, but it sure as hell paved the way and other games followed in it's wake.

Certainly you could say that Halo caused the 'decline' in gaming, but it really wasn't the case. Blame developers for following trends in an attempt to make money.

I've passed it multiple times, including on the expert run through of the Endless Setlist which is when I got blatter of steel. Also I've gotten 94% on Green Grass and High Tides and my score is better than Lagamuffins according to the RB leaderboards.

On disc there are no really gamebreaking songs on guitar but Run to the Hills on expert drums is the only song I haven't beaten. DLC however, there is some crazy stuff but most of it is shitty GRAAAAGHHHHHH metal.

Sup guys. That'd be my Halo 3 record, not bad. I haven't gone past 40 because I'm working all my skills up past 30 at the moment. Then I'll end up deciding what I head up in. Team Slayer is a 29, Swat is at like 33/34, LW is 37, Doubles is 34, MLG is 10 (lol), Snipers is 17, Squad Battle is 17. (that was a fucking bitch, i can't find matches anymore) I'm playing Halo or some rhythm game whenever, so add me if you want to play I guess.

Well, I can't be assed to finish any of the games that are so close to completion. ODST only has like 6 achievements left, but they each take over two hours for time gamerscore. Halo 3 is extremely close, as I only have 3 multiplayer achievements left and the shitty campaign ones, but I don't have the original Halo 3 disc because it fucking magically disappeared. Guitar Hero Metallica's achievements are pretty ridiculous, seeing as I can never find a full band, let alone a singer on expert. I could always finish RDR, but it's boring to me. I guess I'll just bash my head in and play some more H3 multiplayer in an attempt to get to a general before Reach comes out. Also, by this post, I swear that I'll get 1000/1000 in Reach.

Also Halo Wars on Legendary is fucking stupid hard

As far as getting any new games goes, not gonna happen. The 80 dollars I put on Reach really should've gone into my car, and basically, I could be without internet till I get shit running. I'm pretty sure that won't happen, because I applied to a new job that pays MUCH better, but will cut my time short, along with the few classes I am taking.

By that point, I should be able to buy some new games (after I fix my car and finish paying bills anyway). Till then I'm stuck in a shithole.

Still, you've got to admit that Microsoft is pushing out less and less exclusive games while Sony is pushing out more and more.

The xbox is also older, and is becoming a limiting factor. Every dev is pushing all the power they can from it, using basically every trick and tweak to get a little bit extra out of it. Not many companies want to be restricted by old hardware..

Nor is there a rule against getting free games using a JTAG. It was never established anyway, people have been taken off for modding gamerscore, but as far as I know it's not as if anyone has been taken off for having a modded console, because they're getting the gamerscore the same way. As far as I know, jericho modded gamerscore aswell as having a modded console.

I remember when I shot my first gun. Some sort of generic pump shotgun, and it knocked me flat on my ass and with a sore shoulder. Scared me shitless but it taught me how powerful weapons were and from that point on I was always super fucking careful. Now I go shooting with my cousin as much as possible. Last one I shot was a M1014 variant. Fucking love the ghost ring sight.

I know and totally agree.

The graphics are god awful, even Call of Duty 4 has better graphics and it's from 07'. The gameplay is horrible, you can't even aim up and down, the maps have nothing unique to them aside from the small secret areas that offer nothing. The weapon array is pretty bad too, I mean they don't even have a MP5! Let alone any pistol that's good, (like the desert eagle!) only the shitty M9. Plus, The chaingun uses pistol ammo! How gay is that? Atleast they have a chainsaw, but that doesn't help much because all the enemies are fucking stupid.

God I hate how everyone thinks it's so good, it can't even keep up to par with recent games.

I decided to redownload garrysmod after I got my new 1TB hard drive today. (I deleted it last time due to space restrictions) I'll probably frequent the thread a bit more, and exchange mutual insults and whatnot. My only question is, what addons do I get? I plan on playing a fair bit of online, and i already have Wiremod, but is there anything else that is generally needed or is the rest just optional?
