Oh Heavens, I'm not attempting to remark Britain as thee greatest country of all time, thats impossible to judge, there is no benchmark when society is dependent on the moral and logical choices of man, but thats another argument.
Please don't assume I'm tryint to assert Britain above all others, it's just the light of recent centuries the fall has been drastic, I fear it takes it's toll the heaviest now and for many years to come.
Although that British Pride has been lost, hopefully our attitude as survivors will remain strong and we can laugh about it in a few years to come, god knows British comedy has already taken a plunge into pessimism.
And yes, I know throughout history we have had our "poverty spells" but it always seems we fluctuate and throw right back into a golden age, with Churchill we surmounted terrible enemies and averted (in my opinion) one of the greatest threats the modern world has faced from Nazi Germany. Even when we faced trouble right on our doorstep from Spain, Queen Elizabeth I held it together and Britain benfited.
I wonder if we can keep it up and who will be our next pioneer into Britains Golden Age.

At 12/4/09 02:34 PM, Diddy wrote: The sheer amount of immigrants + Labour Govt. acts which means everyone has to tip-toe around ethnic minorities = the fall of a great nation.

And when Britain decides to become a PC crazed nation simply for manners of respect it gets a bit tedious when as soon as a political party addresses the problems with immigration everybody pretends to disagree to simply uphold a "perfect" image when they cry out "Yes" in their minds, it's crazy that 50 years ago this problem would be solved in a mere year by closing the bridges and dealing with it step-by-step because it IS a problem having so many ethnic minority workers, the BNP (although going over the top) spin the yarn rather well on this matter, sure they don't have the perfect idea but at least standing up and saying "look, maybe it is a problem and lets all stop being so polite about it" is admirable to an extent.

Concerning the people who choose not to work and claim benefits, again 50 years ago I don't believe such a system even existed, I may be wrong but if someone is not contributing to the progression of the country and society as a whole then what good are they, not good enough to be targets for money-throwing thats sure enough. Mothers, the disabled, those in Working Class poverty suffering families with parents in jobs, all a big yes! The fat uncle who sits on his backside watching TV and complainging about everything wrong with the country, it's just common sense to say no.

Political reasons maybe?
I mean, Zimbabwe kill practically anyone who steps foot in there to ask for directions, they won't be pleased with satellites (albeit there is most likely government ones present) hovering above and taking pictures.

Great Britain, once an empire, a conquering nation with political and diplomatic hold over 2/3 of the planet, a country never conquered or taken for granted, a simple island, tiny in comparison to the rest of the world, yet an achiever of so much, having shaped the world in so many ways, and changed the lives of billions it feels like the detoriation of this once great country is beginning to take root.
Britain used to be at the forefront of revolutions and broadcast so much to everyone, we are reknowned for our attitude which we have developed over the years as we strived and fought against oppression and facism, preaching freedom and independence, we brought new civilisations to the world and helped others in need, all over the world a simple mention of the BBC is greeted with open arms and understanding, even in the most remote of places.
We are the only country with the sheer confidence to take the first step, the one country that can laugh at itself when it all goes wrong, pick up the pieces and carry on, throughout everything we have survived and carried a glorious heritage. Our History, our people and our land is something to take the utmost pride in.
Alas, I feel like this is slowly fading away, where did it all go wrong for us, really?
We stood so tall and now we simply quarrel and attempt to deal with our problems in a country almost going mad, we don't who to blame, crime is on the rise, people are suffering from poverty, homelessness and un-employment is on the rise even further. This isn't just the credit crunch either, the whole ideological pattern of Britain is crumbling. I feel it's a sad time thats only going to get worse.
Discuss, if you wish.

My friends college sent out an e-mail today warning all students that next tuesday, if anyone is off college they have to give a perfectly valid reason with evidence.
Suffice to say I lol'd at the fact that at the bottom of the e-mail for the lads it said "We can all enjoy Modern Warfare 2 AFTER college"

Those games are Bethesda, not Bioware.

Bioware made Mass Effect, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Baldur's Gate (among others).

I know, I realised after I posted that it would come across like that, suffice to say oops. I actually meant that about Oblivion and Fallout in reference to RPG.

Can't wait meself, looks like a pretty amazing, considering the fact I've always enjoyed Biowares work, squeezed about 200 hours of gameplay out of Oblivion and around 150 (+counting) from Fallout 3, this RPG is going to assure me plenty of late nights and early mornings of play time.

Plus I'll have it for PC as well which is immense, mods and editors FTW.

Now now, think of your weapon choice their, do you know how difficult it would be to kill zombies with a sword?! You can't just go slashing, it wouldn't work. Do you know how difficult it is to cut through bone for gods sake, to use a melee weapon effectively in a zombie apocalypse you've got to think the practical other side of supposed "Bad-ass", anything sharp could get caught and break easily, anything too complicated could be difficult to handle, something you can replace, something that doesn't way you down, something you use quickly and effectively and most of all something that if it doesn't kill them will at least bring them down. My reccomendation, a smaller sized metallic baseball bat.

It's not the freaking Matrix ya know, if they are out to kill you and everybody else your not going to be admired for thinking your well hard. You'll survive for being clever. Racing out there guns blazing just warrants stupidity and all together a very short life span.

Bats, explosives, fire, barricades, supplies and shotguns are the only way to go. No macho shit.

I just vote what I feel is appropiate, I don't really care about B/S points and just wouldn't like seeing Newgrounds filled with crap animations that no-one even pays attention to anymore, then again, Tom and Wade should take some of the responsibility in ensuring that Newgrounds stays a reasonable way...but eyyyh, What ya gonna do.

1-Awful
2-Not my taste but context can matter
3-Deserves its place on newgrounds
4-Enjoyed it
5-I remember watching it the day after

My general guidlines.

Good choice, I've always wished that if I were to chose cremation that my ashes be spread into a pizza dough before baking so that when cooked that must be eaten by all relatives/friends that wish to claim from my will, the more they eat the more they earn.

Sick, but it shows who the true greedy buggers and general pizza enthusiasts are in the gene pool.

Posed by an earlier thread with the topic of the music to go out on, what would you have written on your gravestone to be remembered with everytime a family member or loved one visits that mound of dirt your decomposing corpse lies under?

Personally I'd like to keep it to the optimistic aspect and simply say;
"I'll be back...IN TEH ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE!"
