May I suggest that producers give some sort of contact information when they post a request? I know I---and I'm sure other voice actors---probably wouldn't bother responding if we have to add you on a messenger service just to figure out what exactly you're LOOKING for. I've even seen some posts on NG saying "voice actor wanted contact me if interested" and they don't even mention what GENDER the role(s) are. Chances are if a voice actor is reading this thread they are indeed looking for voice roles, so it will save everyone time if you post here what you need rather than making people contact you individually (especially on some messenger service) just to find out any sort of information about the project/roles.

I've had it with goddamn fanboys marking down any negative review just because hearing one of the author's voices gives them an erection.
Oh, the other thing is...if they're popular VAs, they probably get a lot of requests. They'd rather just hear what you need than have a HUGE wall of text with a whole bunch of extra background on why you chose them and your entire flash history etc etc. When you get a lot of these lengthy emails on a regular basis, it can be difficult to wade through them all and figure out exactly what the producer wants you to do. It's better to just concisely describe the project and ask if they might be interested.

They are voice actors right? thats what they do in their spare time? Then just email them saying you need a voice actor and were hoping they would do it. Give them an example of the script and of what you want and thats it.
Don't worry about being formal or informal, it doesn't matter.
Seconding this.
To be honest, I think it's really funny when people from Newgrounds write overly formal, pretentious sounding e-mails asking me to voice for their flashes. XD I mean, I'd take it over "hi i need viovce for amy in my sonic flash movie cud u pls hlep????" but it's still amusing.

And I just use the classic purple, I don't need no facny colors. Except I would use my grey wireless controller if it wasn't broken.
Kirb used to play, but he doesn't really anymore. Sadly I've never gotten to actually face him in smash as we live on opposite sides of the country anyway ;\
I'd love to attend your online tourney, but I've got a huge IRL tourney that day...it's actually being held at our house because they lost their original venue, oh dear. If anyone lives in SoCal, it's the SCSA2 tournament.
...I guess? Haha. My roommate was wearing lots of eye makeup too and also plays G&W, but she was Asian and had long hair. Oh, I was wearing these blue flower hair clips if that helps at all. =P The pink controller is the main way people remember me.

Hey, you stopped by Quiznos right?
Yeah! Did we talk or anything? I didn't know there was another Newgrounder there!
Well, I was the girl with the purple-ish hair in front and the custom pink controller, usually playing G&W in friendlies :P
I'd be happy to challenge people sometime, although I'm kind of iffy about playing online because of the lag (plus my roommates are usually occupying the TVs). I usually only do IRL tournaments so we'll see....
