So the news has gotten around now that one of my favorite comics Hack/Slash is moving to Image Comics with the first issue coming out in June.
So with the extensive library of Image comics and the already previous history of cool cross-overs, what would you be hoping out of this new series?

I understand that its done all the time, I have to put up with it being bisexual myself. And I understand that its a matter of discrimination, but aren't they also discriminating agianst those that don't like it? I don't go out with my boyfriend forcing people to like what we do. \
Also discrimination isn't agianst the law in all parts of the US. Here in Michigan you can be fired for being gay, you don't get the benefits from your partner's employment like married couples can. And along the same lines of marriage, Same sex marriage is still agianst the law here, and in many other portion of the United States. Since the website also promotes an emphisis on marriage of the couple as the ultimate goal, and homosexual marriage is not allowed in many states, and is banned here in, that just to be impractical, and technically illegal/ banned in some states.
Another point is that the company disciminates on the basis of a religious belief. The founder of the website is a devaout Christian, and believes that homosexuality is wrong. That is why he did not go along with the idea of helping homosexuals find love, because if there is anything that God likes, its when an person helps another commit "sin". (Note: I personally don't beilve that homosexuallity is a sin, I don't even believe in God.) If that is grounds for a lawsuit, then a lawsuit can be brought agianst many branches of religion as they also discriminate agianst sexual orientation.
And you asked if homosexuals are being intolerant? Times are a-changin! People aren't tolerant of gays and bis because they're different. That would be like them denying someone who was black, or Muslim, or Asian. People just need to learn to accept everyone. Straight people would be pissed if they were denied for something because they were straight. So it's the same thing..... O.o
I agree with you fully that people need to become tolerant of everyone, but they are still being intolerant of someone else's ideas, making them just as bad. Making them preaching agianst the idea, intoerance of other's ideals, that they themselves are practicing making them hypocrites! Being bi myself, I know what it is like to be riticuled. I live in a white bread consevritive town, so conservitive that the community banded together, city officals too, to get a store that pulled the Gay Stright alliance float closed down. I get it all the time when I walk down the street with my boyfriend or my girlfriend, or both. Do I jump on the sue wagon? No, I just walk on and enjoy my life, like it never happened. If everyone would just leave each other alone the world would be a much better place.
Another peice of the intolerance from gays in the gay bar banning strights as mentioned in the other article posted by Dante. That's a pretty big hypoctacy there, to sue for a compnay banning gays, then turn around and ban strights.
You just either have a narrow mind and can't look from both sides of the argument or you yourself are just intolerant and don't care for anyone who is different......but that's my opinion from what you said.....
I'm not narrow minded, and actually I'm looking at both sides apperently much better then you, who seems to be only looking at only the pro-homosexual side. My problem isn't with gays, my problem isn't with lesbians, my problem is with hypocracy.

I agree with you fully there. If eHarmony did take their money. I hope they get sued,. Not only that, I hope they get shut down, because you can't do that to someone and expect to maintain a postivie outlook from the public. But if you think about it, they are a heavily Christian founded organization, so I don'tthink they would go around and steal the money. I
As for the question of flase advertising there is no where on the website about that it for heterosexuals only. They do have seperate sections ofr marrigae and jsut for singles. So I don't see anywhere on the site, other then the marrige part, that would state that the site is for heterosexuals only.

But seriously like it was said, a pure breed T-rex would be impossible right now, as the fertizling creature would have some of its DNA would be in there. and they're not that far along to completely wipe out tahat fact, and the idea that some of the other animal's traits would take over the T-rex traits.

But I think they have a good point that all the fancy technology will attract more kids, and that will greatly distrot their views on things. they'l jsut latch on to that idea, and becuase it will be further ingrianed in them by people they like and trust, (We all know little kids don't like school, so why would they trust teachers over the nice religious man.) they won't go outside thier norms and explore leading to a more intolerant and destructive society.
As for morality being part of eveolution, I'd have to agree that evolution does favor survival and that morality is just something mankind has picked up to help it survive as a society. It would be rather hard for man to exist solitarily. Hunting is a prime example of man needed help to survive in the world. Man has discovered through out the years that through ceritan actions can gain the favor of their fellow man, and dubbed this moral, there fore greatly incresasing man's chances for survival.

As for chants I have been to many wiccan festivals and rituals and never seen one work. I still find them to be a simple act of meditation and "self-renewal." In which case I do see how they would work, but actually changing the physical proerties of an object, as in be able to lift a heavy object with your pinky, I am still very skeptical.
But I agree I should get back to task at hand of answering questions.

On the issue of women's right in symbolic satanism is very high. Yeah as was stated, there are a lot of "Hardcore" metal kids that choose satanism because it makes them look "cool." Those people need to get a life and understand that they don't need a label to make them interesting. In fact in one of the writings by Lavey, he says that he enjoys messing with those people to the point they leave. We don't need their ilk in our numbers. For those that get it, it is really simplistic, and is nothing new. There have been many people that claimed that Lavey stole a lot of his ideas. Which may be true, but it is really simple stuff that Freud brought to light decades before Lavey put pen to paper. In fact many of us, myself included view symbloic Stanism as more of a philosophy on life then an actual religion.
I have been to many wiccan chants and festivals. And never experienced anything supernatural. As for the light as a feather stiff as a board thing, I've tried that before and had no success. If you could document this on say video and prove that there is no wires involved please do.
As for doing things for a reward, that is not always true. Sometimes the respect of others and the "warm, fuzzy feeling" you get from helping another is a reward enough, and helps to sate our desires of recognition.
As for those books I'll have to look into them. I've been recommend some of those before I just hardly ever have the cash to buy them.

Thanks, actually I'm pretty clean, though I do drink and have smoked pot on occasion. Yeah, if America was run by atheists it would be a hell of a lot better.

That is a very hard question to answer. I was an atheiest for quite a while before I became a Satanist. When I cracked the book and took a look into the ideas, I got a different view on life that I like a lot better, that atheism just didn't have a feel for. I'll try and discribe it better when my mind comes to it.

Not at all. I don't follow the Satanic Bible by the letter, nor does any other Satanist. I don't feel that it is important to follow a book because each man should decide how he wants to live his life, which Satanism promotes.

No, becuase mainly becuase they do no good. Lavey even said this in one of his writings that the rituals are only to help you get your emotions under control, and help give the practicioner peice of mind. Such as a destruction ritual is for harming your enemies. The person performs the ritual and then forget about it. It helps the person feel that they have caused folly to thier enemy. And whether they have or not doesn't matte becuae they feel that they have. So it no longer weighs on their mind. I find this to be weak in the person, and Satanism teaches that people need to be strong.

Oh of course, I don't go out and sleep with three women everday. I don't eat five cakes jsut because I want cake. Its more the concept of no self-denial. Now yes there are some satanists that do follow this doctrine, but they are few becasue common sense says that bad things will happen if you do do stuipd things like that. And stupidity is one of out Cardnial sins.

That is actually one of the best ways to discribe what we (Symbolic Satanists) beileve. The indulgence comes from our disdane for religons such as christianity. (Which we are agianst for a lot of the crimes it has commited agianst people, such as the cursades and demonsizing other religions.) Christianity dictates that one must deny themselves things they want in order to achive enlightenment. Because we believe that there is no enlightenment and that death is the end. Then we see no reason to not indulge, and enjoy the pleasures of life.
We are like, said before, very peaceful people until you piss us off. One of tyhe things Lavey says in the Satanic bible is that if you strike me on my cheek, I will smash you one yours. But other then that we are quite peaceful.
If you are interested, go ahead and talk to some of the preists, though some of the people that I've talked to still try and keep themselves hush hush. Also you could go to nearly any book store and pick up the Satanic bible, or any of the books such as The Devil's Notebook, and Satan Speaks! All of which are rather cheap.

I was talking about extremists on a lot of these points. I have no problem if people want to be enthusiasic about their fiath. But the enthusiaism can lead to much more dangerous things, like the extreme ideals. That is where my problems with religion come in. Its when the extrmeist sits back and thinks God will cure their child of thier fatal ailments. Its when the kid walks into a gay bar and hacks two guys to death with a hachet, because of his religous idals. I can see both of these being mentally damaging casues of over enthusiaistic religous ideals.

I honestly have no problem with gay men hitting on me. I'm stright and just take it as an ego boost.
But from my stand point the major problem with gays comes from people's upbringing. If you go through your whole life being told something is bad, that it is evil, and being isolated from it. Then you will grow up hating it. The longer this continues the more you will isolate yourself from it. eventually you will have kids and then pass on the hate to them. They will pass it on to their generation and so on and so forth. This cycle will continue until someone, breaks the isloation and learns. Its happened like this for mellienia. It honsetly seems to be an outdated survival tactic, if its different then you don't trust it. Its jsut a matter of testing the waters, until understanding can be achived.
