I think you shoulda used a ruler for the blades, the bendy lines really takes away from the rest of the picture. The hands are also kinda small imo.
But honestly, it's still pretty good. How long did it take you? (This video was considerably longer than the Bison one)

Yeah I also too saw that the hands were a little smaller than I would like. The blades are supposed to be curved, not straight, but maybe I could have made the curves more fluid. Thanks for the criticism, especially the fixative! I will go get some soon.

This actually took me around 3 hours, whereas Bison took me half an hour maybe. I tend to lose track of time when I'm drawing though, so it never seems long to me. I should have the next one up tonight or tomorrow morning!

That way you can group all your work together and people can easily view it and the respective speed paintings.

That's a really good idea. The next drawing I do I will make a thread and put these speed drawings in as well.

I always forget to put up a pic! Thank you, I'm adding a scan of the drawing too. And to answer your question, I used the cover of the Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Soundtrack as a reference, it wasn't too big but it got the job done.

This is my second speed drawing, watch it and hopefully enjoy. I am planning on doing a bunch of these so subscribe if you wish and be sure to leave suggestions for future pictures either here or in the comments section on the video.

I received a lot of suggestions from my previous thread and they are still on my list! So don't worry if I haven't done yours yet.

Thanks.

this dude raises good points.

M. Bison, Yes! Yes! Posted October 23rd, 2011 in Art

I just finished drawing a picture of M. Bison saying his famous "YES! YES!", recorded it and made a speed draw video of it. I was wondering if anyone was interested in watching the speed draw?

yup

We were going for a more retro 80s style opening, but I totally feel you. It can drag on at parts. I'm already planning on doing something more creative with the credits when we decide to make the sequel. Thanks for your opinion!

Oh boy, what do we have here? Posted October 21st, 2011 in General

Hey guys, so our newly formed production team just finished up our first short film and I would love if you could watch it and let me know what you think:

Oh boy, is that another post-apocalyptic short film? Yes...yes it is. But we put video games in ours so its not as bad as most on the interwebs.

Thanks for clicking this thread, means a lot to us.

It should work fine if I have understood what u are trying to do.

I think it should work fine but for some reason the character continues to leave the boundary. Maybe I designed it the wrong way, I don't think so though. I am not new to flash but I am relatively new to actionscripting, so this is a little frustrating. I am writing all of these codes in the character's actionscript section by the way. And maybe for a little more information, in case I am doing something wrong, I created both the character and wall in the same layer.

Help with hitTest Posted December 26th, 2010 in Game Development

I have a border in my game that I have converted to a symbol and instanced as wall, I try to perform a hitTest so the main character doesn't exceed the border but it just keeps going straight through it. Does anyone know any hitTest scripts that may help me?
